It's a shame too, since HBO had an awful Main event.
    Burgos/Garcia put me to sleep.
    Peterson/Jean was at least competitive.

Anyways...the "cold war" needs to come to an end! Golden Boy's stable would wreck Top Rank! A lot of great matches await us.
U mean showtime had the better cards last year, because hbo still had the better ratings overall last year. It's a bigger network with more subscribers and better all around content. Gb needs to go back. I hate paying for showtime the boxing is good but there programing sucks.

The only leverage HBO has is that they have been established for a while and have more subscribers. HBO has become mediocre with there matchmaking fights, head to head with the same amount of subcribers and Shotime grand slams it. Showtime kills it consistently with great appreciated fights plus a roster that is dominent when it comes to making combination matchesl. I can't find the link but last yr there was a 12% jump increase in subscriptions for Sho. That's excluding the free subscription trial its an obvious good sign for them.

HBO has been putting together After Dark cards that resemble FNF since GBP left, plus the guys they've built up like Mikey Garcia are brutally boring to watch. But overall their production is much better than Showtime's. Besides Golovkin, there is really no HBO fighter that I get excited to see.

I think Sho fights were slightly more interesting than HBO. The heavyweights were lame most of their fight, and Burgos backed from Garcia's power

For the love of God...stop having cards on the same day.... this works out for nobody.

Also, they were talking about having Bhop in San Antonio on April 26th.... for the love of God..... DON'T DO IT!

Its called Homeland. Boxing does very little to move the subscriber needle.

Also, as a fan why the need to compare and declare a winner? Both networks had great and crappy fights.

This debate is just petty gossip for fringe fans.

I'm sure boxing moves some subscriptions...but 12% is way too much.
12% of 20 million is way more than what they get now.

It's most likely the T.V shows... and Homeland is about the only good one they have after Dexter left.....I heard Masters of Sex was good
