Three different decades Floyd has won a fighter of the tear award from Ring or BWAA but he's a hype job. Hey what ever makes you sleep better.

          For Real?

          What a joke!
A bunch of ass kissing old men who are too old, too blind, or just afraid to really speak their minds.
Those who's pockets are filled with promoter cash, gifts, & ring side seats to all their cronies....
If you look at the names on the panel, & and chair people, just a bunch of old ***ish men that either retired, or on there way to Boca Raton, or Vegas with "comp" treatment.

You really have to wonder that the hell they were thinking when they voted for Roy Jones as fighter of the decade of the 90's, but yet he never won fighter of the year durning that time period!

            let's think like FMJ for a moment;
            Khan, Maidanna, or Lara.
Khan has hand & foot speed. Lara is a larger version of Rigo, slick as me, maybe more powerful at this stage of the game.
Then there's "El-Chino" slow, straight ahead, & so easy to hit.
Did I answer your question on how the FOTY thinks???

guess we'll see. NOBODY thought he would fight Canelo, but he did and won easily. It's taking long to make the decision...maybe it's not Khan. El-Chino would still be better than Khan. Of course Lara would be even better!

This is what burns me about today's fans. If an opponent is diesel enough, his name is all you need. No amount of padded records, bogus rankings, or paper belts can hide what a fighter is really worth.

Canelo was a good win. Guerrero was nothing special at all.
Guerrero was the #3 Welter in the world. Juan was #2, Floyd already sparked em. Cry me a river clown. "Fight undeserving fighters because their names are bigger than those who put in work". Give me a top 3 fighter over anybody you thought he should of fought at the time.

There are only 3 fighters who deserved it.

                    Floyd, Rigo and Adonis.

Floyd captured 2 lineal titles in 2 different weight classes by shutting out the #3 guy at welter and the #1 guy at jr. middle. credible

Rigo beat the 2012 fighter of the year, and he was the underdog. nuff said

Adonis became Lineal at Light Heavy with impressive title defenses. applause worthy.

I can't agree with those of you who say Tim or GGG, both of those guys get a hell no for me.

Would have picked Adonis myself, clearly his year was more impressive regardless of how much money he made compared to Floyd.
