"Undefeated?" He lost to Castillo. Corrupt decisions will not be recognized.

I can see why Floyd one, he fought in 2 divisions beating the #3, and #2 ( since he was the #1 in both) in those divisions, so it makes sense. My pick was Danny. He had a tough fight and roughed it out, and came in as an underdog and overwhelmed Matthysse. I could see Tim winning as well as Rigo too.

Stevenson's wins weren't against the same level of comp in my eyes ( two were coming off loses), Kovlev didn't beat anyone great, GGG's best win was Macklin.

All honesty the Charlo that fought the other night looks like he can make some noise for this years consideration if they move him along at the same rate. That master class versus Rosado in a step up fight, coupled with a belt win makes him a top pick for me.

Close fights are still wins. You still caught up on what 2001? The fact that you have to go that far back shows the talent.

I would have voted Floyd third behind Rigondeaux and Bradley. But Floyd winning isn't outragous. He dominated in the Event of the Year. And dominated a pretty good fighter in Guerrero. I think Rigo and Bradley's "big wins" over Donaire and JMM respective were better than the Canelo win. But Rigo was dropped by Flash. And since Floyd and Bradley are both welterweights. I could see someone viewing the Canelo win as better because theoretically Canelo would destroy JMM. As for the second wins. Guerrero is certainly better than Agbeko. And even though I'd give Provo the edge over Ghost, a lotta people think Bradley lost that fight. So all in all, Floyd isn't a bad choice. But I thought Rigo and Bradley had better years.

Not nearly as useless as that Fighter of the Decade farce Pacquaio fans love to throw around. Even though he's no better than the third best fighter of his era.

I think Rigo is the clear FOTY this year, personally, and Bradley is second.
What do you think Canelo would do to Provodnikov and Marquez? He'd decapitate them.

It seems you don't understand that winning a dominant but boring 12 round decision makes you a better fighter than winning a 7-5 war.

Fighter of the Year means best. Not most exciting or most active or most popular. It means the best. Floyd Mayweather is the best.
