Definitely. That's like ending some kids dream who's trained for years to win gold at the Olympics. But could you imagine if that kid won due to the format being so different. I would pay to see that.

the only posters who would support this are those who slob wlad day in and day out.

No it would not. It would be an ATG heavyweight beating up on kids. There's nothing to celebrate, nothing amazing whatsoever about it.

I don't think they're going to allow him in.

It seems to have been confirmed that pro boxers will be allowed to take part in the Olympic boxing, and Wladimir has been making noise about wanting that second gold medal for a while now...seems to be pretty serious about it now too...

So, if he does go on and compete in the games, I assume he will retire from the pros? Is this a good idea? Will it/how will it impact his legacy? Who should he fight if he only has 2 years left in the pros?

"I'm definitely going to take part in the Olympics, if at that time I still have the health and motivation. There are still two and a half years before the Olympics - on the one hand, this may seem like an eternity, and on the other, it will pass very quickly "
I say hell no, I don't want him to retire until he has atleast tried to beat Joe Louis longest reigning HW champ record!

However that would be an absolutely amazing way to end your career, 20 years on winning gold once more and calling it a day and working in politics with your brother.

Has their ever been more smarter guys to have reached the absolute elite level like the K bros?
Don't think so, haters can say what they like but it doesn't change the fact that Wladimir and Vitali are some of the best heavyweights to take to the scene.

I heard there wasn't going to be any head gear in the next Olympics, Wlad is gona knock guys out.

A lot of you are under the impression that most Olympic super heavies are 20 years olds, they're not, some of the best, like Italian Camarelle are in their 30s, guys like Dychko will be in their mid 20s by the next Olympics (not sure if he has turned pro already).

Anyway, if Wlad wants to do it, let him do it, I think it'll bring more glamour to Olympic boxing. In the next two years Wlad should take on Fury, new WBC titlist and hopefully either of Chisora or Jennings and possibly Wilder just for the hype.

Only ones who wouldn't support it is the same ones who are still butthurt that the US heavyweights are absolutely garbage and are getting beaten up by guys like Chisora...
Your best HW right now is Stiverne, Arreola and Wilder the Eastern European HWs are just making your fighters look absolutely pathetic.

                      Stay mad doe.
