I don't think anyone will say it's a great idea, even the most diehard fans... as opposed to breaking meaningful pro rank records...I certainly don't want him to do this.

However that would be an absolutely amazing way to end your career, 20 years on winning gold once more and calling it a day and working in politics with your brother.

Has their ever been more smarter guys to have reached the absolute elite level like the K bros?
Don't think so, haters can say what they like but it doesn't change the fact that Wladimir and Vitali are some of the best heavyweights to take to the scene.
Wlad isn't going to head into politics, he says himself he is no politician, he just supports Vitali...he will have his hands tied with Hayden I guess.

A lot of you are under the impression that most Olympic super heavies are 20 years olds, they're not, some of the best, like Italian Camarelle are in their 30s, guys like Dychko will be in their mid 20s by the next Olympics (not sure if he has turned pro already).

Anyway, if Wlad wants to do it, let him do it, I think it'll bring more glamour to Olympic boxing. In the next two years Wlad should take on Fury, new WBC titlist and hopefully either of Chisora or Jennings and possibly Wilder just for the hype.
All those names and Pulev then nobody can complain about him wanting to do it, albeit someone will still moan.

Most of those guys are not kids.

Roberto Cammarelle will be age 36 and Magomedrasul Majidov will be 30. Zhang Zhilei will be 33.

Usually a man of age 25-35 has a physical advantage over a 40 year old.

Your best HW right now is Stiverne, Arreola and Wilder the Eastern European HWs are just making your fighters look absolutely pathetic.

            Stay mad doe.

Wlad will have beat EVERYBODY... Absolutely everyone If he does go into the Olympics by then, both situations are completely not comparable.
Yeah its that. Not that a pro with that much experience shouldn't be fighting kids and amatuers that haven't been trained by the likes of emmanuel steward.

Ye but thing is, Wlad probably won't fight most of them. The pulev fight seems a natural progression but I'm not sure if the Fury or Jennings or Wilder fights happen.

Would be interesting if any other top pro heavies also had an interest in winning a gold medal...perhaps some that didn't have a chance to go to the Olympics before...what is the criteria to get into this for pros anyway??

And would there be any chance for Wlad to go into the Olympics still holding all his pro belts? After all, this is now opening up for 'pro fighters'...I assume this means active pro fighters which doesn't necessarily mean Wlad would have to retire before or after the Olympics...strange, strange situation in any case.

Shouldn't be allowed, but it would be funny.
