  • Comments Thread For: Andre Ward is Ready, Says Gennady Golovkin is Not

WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs) is ready to face Gennady Golovkin (28-0, 25KOs), the WBA/IBO champion at 160-pounds, at any time. But makes it clear that Golovkin and his team are in no hurry to step in the ring with him. Golovkin returns to action this coming Saturday night in Monaco, against Osumanu Adama (22-3, 16KOs).

Ward takes issue with Golovkin's promoted reputation of "willing to fight anyone" - when his team is not willing to match them any time soon. Additionally, Ward is confused by recent quote where Golovkin's promoter claimed their fighter was the bigger star.

Ward said in this same interview that he would fight Groves in the UK. But he won't go to the UK to fight Froch, even thought that would be more money for him than if they fought in the US. How come?

Ward toys with GGG. It's best to keep GGG's aura alive and kicking. Let's enjoy his fights with no hopers and future potential 154 lbers

Ward talking about divisions meanwhile he sits at 168, as usual, with no intent to really budge.
