Oscar has 11, how you got 8 I dunno "peeleft: Oscar clearly would be off the top of my head but I just counted it for evidence.

I'm sure JCC Sr is up there and possibly RJJ but I can't be bothered boxrecing them.

    So no, it's not Floyd
I already counted Floyd and Oscar for you, both with 9. Where'd you get 11 and 6 from ?

Pacquiao is interesting as he won lineal title without world title in some division, lets count:

    112 WBC
    122 IBF
    130 WBC
    135 WBC
    147 WBO
    154 WBC

I count 6 there. Remember just talking about WBC, WBA, IBF and (sadly) WBO titles, no lineal titles.

EDIT Ah I see your earlier post..

    WBC flyweight title
    IBF super bantamweight title
    WBO super bantamweight title
    IBF featherweight title
    WBC super featherweight title
    WBC lightweight title
    WBO welterweight title
    WBC light middleweight title
I highlight the titles which the Pacman didn't win. Those were Marquez IBF Featherweight title and Sanchez WBO Superbantamweight title, both fights resulted in a draw not victory for the Pacman

It is super close. Take a look at each fighters top ten wins and you'll see why.

I think it's closer now then it's ever been though. Pac has only really gotten one good win since Cotto/Clottey, and it was Bradley. He really won.

Floyd's gotten Mosley, Ortiz, Cotto, Guerrero, Canelo. All were either decent, solid, or real good wins at those times.

pacqauio's wins at welterweight have much more value in terms of their value in a p4p resume, as manny is not a welterweight. manny was a former flyweight world champion. a mediocre WW run from a former flyweight is more valuable than a mediocre WW run for a real welterweight.

nobody who actually knows boxing looking at the two resume in 50 years and will say that floyd mayweather's is better. he needs to do more. if they retired today, manny would have a much better resume.

he has less name value [fought worse fighters,] and did less in his division climbing.

all floyd mayweather has is an undefeated record, the longevity, and his style. he'd beat manny. that doesn't mean he's got a better resume.

This thread just exemplifies how diluted the avg boxing fan has become. The answer to the question is not as important as WHO a man fought and WHEN.

                Posers keep pretending.

I don't think Mayweather is any more or less real WW then Manny is. Yeah Manny fought that low early in his career, but both are roughly the same size, more or less.

Floyd's got like 6-7 decent or solid wins at WW.

                  Judah (Top 5 WW), Baldomir (WBC/RING WW), Hatton (#8 P4P/#1 140), Marquez (#2 P4P), Mosley (#1-2 WW/WBA/#3 P4P), Ortiz (WBC WW/#2 WW), Guerrero (#3 WW).

Manny has like 3. Cotto (#3 WW), Clottey (Top 5 WW), Bradley (#8 P4P/#1 140).

I'd say Floyd's WW resume is much better then Manny's. I also don't think Manny beat JMM at WW. I thought the 3rd fight was a draw or JMM win, and he was KO'd by him. For the record, I didn't rate Floyd's win over JMM at all until we saw JMM do a number on Manny twice at the weight.

Manny's wins over Barrera and Marquez (though controversial) give him the edge over Floyd for me, right now. Say Manny never gets another real legit win again, and Floyd hopefully gets three more good or solid one's after the bull that is Khan, who knows??? Manny hasn't done jack other then Bradley in like 4 years. And I give Manny credit for Morales, but not nearly as much as it could have or would have been. He only beat him after Morales was upset by Raheem, and Morales was immediately coming off that fight when Manny beat him. That's gotta take that win down significantly.

But I do agree, right now, Manny is a bit higher then Floyd for me. I'd place both around Top 30 or so.
