additionally, king kong, boom boom clottey, and burgos had all never been stopped.

i think burgos figured out after the first big right hand with leverage that garcia could stop him. burgos boxes and uses his height well, and survived.

Different situations. Rigondeaux had an opponent in front of him that wasn't even punching yet chose not to step on the gas and close the show or make a statement. How do u wait to counter a guy who isn't even punching?

While Clottey went into full survival mode once he saw how fast pac was and how hard he hit, pac still was unloading on him and trying to make a fight despite Clottey going into full turtle shell.

Mikey had a very game opponent in front of him who was throwing and fighting back for a good part of the fight but it's mikeys patient and textbook style that makes him boring. He's a grest tactician and I can appreciate his ring iq but his style is like low fat oatmeal. Bland.

The Garcia fight was boring, like 50 Cent said, it put everyone to sleep.

Nobody wants to watch that, that's the bottom line.

Then Ward is trying to take the role of Kellerman and tell us why the Spilka vs Jennings fights is not that unexciting. Upon hearing his backwards logic that it's good for Jennings to have a difficult, awkward fight Jim agrees. It's beyond embarassing. They can't even call fights what they are just cause Larry isn't there. I am not Larry's biggest fan but at least he would call people out. Right now with Andre Ward being there, we could be watching boxers box with their hands tied behind their back and Ward would be telling us that it's good entertainment cause the fighters are experiencing something they haven't yet thusfar. Thank God I don't have a balcony in my apartment, I likely would've jumped off.
Kellerman disagrees with the co-commentators much too often. Sometimes he's right but it's the way he does it, his tone, like he knows more than them. Then Roy and Andre start pulling rank and get competitive with him arguing, not good for the viewer.

These fighters need to realise that going into survival mode ain't gonna win you any fans or get you into the promoters and networks good books.

Case in point, wtf happened to clottey after pacquaio.

garcia has an amazing ability to see and pick off shots, especially the jab. it's a pleasure to watch if you like boxing.
But hey, Rigo and Lara are boring as **** right?

i've never said that i find lara and rigondeaux boring. i've said that their styles don't have an appeal for the networks, casual spectators, etc.

i'd pay money to go to a lara or a rigondeaux fight if they came to my neck of the woods.

garcia came forward for much of the fight last night, and doesn't fight much liek those two anyway.

i dont' think you even watch boxing most of the time, bro. i think you just talk about in with your bscene app for the android phone.

i think you just want to find that i'm biased against cubans, because i'm so regularly explaining why they won't get far with the networks or promotors. it ends up with you putting words in my mouth, because that's the onyl way you'll find me biased towards cubans, or anybody else.

i'm only being realistic when i say that a cuban counterpuncher without a fan friendly style has it tougher than a mexican counterpuncher without a fan friendly style.

LOL, Lampley will never be past his prime. Mauro Ranallo on the other hand never had a prime, If It wasn't for Al Bernstein most peoples tv's would be on mute.

Exactly, I was bored by Rigo vs King Kong as well, but I still watched it cause I feel like Rigo's got a little more ****e and creativity to his game. Mickey is just very bland. You hear him talk and it's the same thing, very bland!
