I agree with 50 when he said he doesn't know why garcia was here tonight anyway meaning why is he fighting in nyc when he should be fighting in cali. I found it weird that he would be fighting in nyc when it was first announced

That would've been a good idea, but I think the Spanish-language interview idea was even better. Did you hear how fast those guys were talking? lol A translator would've only gotten in the way. The objective was reached. The message was delivered in public fashion.

Yeah, I found it odd, too. Maybe the idea is to promote Mikey as a general star, not just a "Mexican star." As luck would have it, Garcia's performance, while dominant, bored a lot of people.

Although this is a possibility, gamboa brings speed, power, and an awkward style Into the ring that mikey has yet to experience. It's an interesting match up.

Agree. This Robert Garcia went with some tactics to divert the line of conversation. I believe he is frustrated since Rigo and Donaire, and he knows that a tactic fighter, with speed, punch and defense can easily show to his brother what is boxing. They are been picking easy fights to Mickey, but is no easy to continue doing that. Was an excellent interview by Gamboa who said quickly that they are ducking the fight with excuses. In Spanish there is no easy for the Garcia's to win the interview and divert the meaning of the phrases

I thought it was gonna be Gamboa going "FIght me maricon" or something like that the way people where referring to it but it was quite civilized exchange/call-out like gentlemen. Mikey still looked shook lol


Robert seems to be the one who does not want that fight he was back there like an excusing cheerleader making excuses for his brother who was expressing himself quite well and didn't need Robert at all.
