Maybe, but for who? Khan is a better opponent for MAYWEATHER. Maidana has big power and will fight all 12 rounds, I give him that, but his defense and boxing skills will leave him looking like all other opponents who fought May, nothing special. Maidana will look good against all other opponents, but steer clear of Mayweather, the guy is too technical, he will pick Maidana apart.Comment

But unlike Canelo and Khan, Maidana is under no delusions of what he needs to do in order to contend with Mayweather. You're not going to see Marcos Maidana trying to box with Floyd Mayweather. It's just not going to happen.Maybe, but for who? Khan is a better opponent for MAYWEATHER. Maybe you'd rather see a glass chinned douche who is 50/50 in his last four fights (with the two wins coming against nobodies) play pitty pat with Floyd for 36 minutes, but I'd rather see Floyd fight the harder punching, more durable, more entertaining, and most notably more deserving Maidana.
The welterweight division ****ing sucks now, anyway. It's not like any of these guys are going to beat Floyd, so at least give us something worth watching instead of another dull shutout against a guy who doesn't deserve the payday.Comment

I think Khan has under rated boxing skills simple as that. How about Floyd possibly troubled in a points match? To finally lose some rounds? Floyd is a points fighter, not entertaining, and he will not entertain the idea of allowing an entertaining fight from a harder puncher such as Maidana. We all know Mayweather has the power to slow the tempo of any fighter put in front of him. Maidana has all of the qualities you mentioned above, but let's not kid ourselves in thinking Maidana will be able to control the tempo of the fight and bully Mayweather into an entertaining fight. Who knows, like you said no one is going to beat Floyd, we'll see what it boils down to.But unlike Canelo and Khan, Maidana is under no delusions of what he needs to do in order to contend with Mayweather.
