I thought Maidana couldn't give Broner his mandatory rematch until after his wife had her baby in March or something April 26th was to soon but one week later May 3rd he would be ready to sounds like somebody don't to give that rematch!Comment

Broner was guaranteed to get chin checked in this fight, never facing a big power puncher. He has the better boxing skills, but was plain out worked by the better fighter that night. Rematch will be good, it can go either way if Broner picks his shots this time around. At the same time it would be nice to see Maidana finish himComment

Funny... But in a fight a lot of hype surrounding a fighter is illusion. ANY man can fall from the heights he's attained... And quickly. You would do well to remember that.
My point exactly. He has "options". I equate that to defensive pride. He doesn't always flex every facet of his defensive skills just because it's strictly necessary. He likes to prove how much of a defensive mastermind he is by transitioning to these different forms... Are they always strictly necessary though? NO. He's essentially flexing. It's pride.Maidana is tailor made....this is what people don't understand Floyd has options on
defense....he shoulder rolls, if that don't work he can fight textbook both hands near eye level, that don't work, peekaboo, or less you in hands down....one signature punch or two or Gameplan will do it.....Mayweather dissects analyze on the fly....after that left hook or right hand don't work for Marcos it's over.....money is better on the inside, mid range and outside....he will destroy this kid
If he moves the whole fight he wins wide and fairly easily. But... He will stand in the pocket, defend off the ropes, etc.. at least once or twice because of his defensive flexing and that will grant Maidana his chance. Despite how poorly Broner used the shoulder roll compared to Floyd, I still think Maidana's awkward angles and overwhelming style is troublesome for the shoulder roll form. He can arc his overhand right over the roll and then direct it downward in a fashion that catches the temple and or top of the head of a ducking/slipping shoulder roll opponent. His left hook has more range than expected as well because of how straight he can keep his arm when he throws it., and due to its range..it can be angled to catch a guy that thinks he's out of harms way. That hook when he throws it like that has the same range as a jab!
Then Maidana has his bread and butter. The jab right hand he's developed that he iced Karass with would be useful against May for stalking and pacing. And the more compact overhand he iced Lopez with as a counter if he can manage it.
Few here are saying Maidana is a favorite over May... But he is an upset artist. I wouldn't count him out until the dust actually settles.Comment

I would have expected a Floyd/Chino match before Khan. It would show a little merit. Both Maidana and Khan would get waxed by Floyd.
Their styles and variables have no advantages over Floyd.Comment
