You can't just throw his inactivity out the window, its a contributing factor. Its like saying Lennox Lewis can get a instant shot, cause he went out on top. He would have to work his way back, if he can manage to get a title fight or a big fight as a first fight back, than good for him, but its not right.

Vitali retired, with the WBC title, he wasn't undisputed, and the only claim he had was that he got the Ring title, why I don't know. His resume wasn't better than Byrd's and he didn't beat the man who beat the man. Did he look like the most impressive HW? Yes, but that has to be backed up in the ring.

Fights against 3 outta shape fighters in Williams, Sanders, and Johnson, did not back up his claim to the throne. As far as I'm concerned they are all pretenders, until unification takes place.

Thats the only way to determine the TRUE champ, get all the belts.

Why not Lennox Lewis than? Or anybody else who went out on top, but now wanna come back. Shoot, if Marciano were still alive, we could give him a shot.

As for Rahman, he beat Barrett, Meehan, and those five tomato cans, that is way more warranted of a title fight, than coming off a two year layoff, and getting a shot.

Rahman did it in the ring, if Vitali gets a shot, he will not have done it in the ring.

And pbds, if your implying that the WBC is more credible than any other organization, than I will give you some facts to show you why they aren't. All the ABC belts are crooks, almost equally.

Vitali's return to the ring would be the best thing to happen to the division since Mike Tyson's retirement.

I'll bet that if Lewis announced that he is coming back, he would get any fight he would want to, he is still THE champ in my book.

I don't know if you watched Rahman vs. Barrett, but if that was what got Rahman the belt (as funny as it sounds, it actually did), then Rahman definitely did not deserve to be the WBC champ. The rest of his fights were against bums, you could argue that Maskaev deserved his title shot in the ring as well, yet he is not getting it (not that I think he deserves one).

Your wrong, the real chmap is Rocky Marciano.

Do you see why the argument doesn't hold water? Hes retired, its over for him, he himself said let the next era begin. If you consider Lewis the true champ, than you got problems.

"I won't let this one go" thread which you let go after poster after poster came in and told you that you were being a hypocrite. You owned yourself in that thread badly.

I entered this post to give my take. In case you missed it, here it is again:

All we ever heard from Klitschko Nut Huggers in response to pointing out he'd never accomplished anything significant in his career was "Just wait, you'll see".

We waited, and saw him retire having done next to nothing noteworthy in his entire career.

He was inactive, and couldn't get through a training camp without injuring his body in several places.

Now, after another year of inactivity and a year older, he's going to come back and tear it up?

Sounds like another excuse to bring out the "Just you wait and see"'s agian.

This is exactly what makes you a deluded nut hugger.

What did he do to deserve anymore credit than the "pretenders" you mention?

Answer: Nothing. He had two fights in two years agaisnt out of shape fringe contenders.

He can't make it through a training camp, yet you think getting a year older and being inactive a 2nd consecutive year puts him in a position to win a good fight nevermind show up in the ring uninjured and ready to fight?

                      Come on.
