Vitali Klitschko May Return, Pending Elections in Kiev
By David A. Avila (Febraury 7, 2006)
It's just chatter at the moment but Vitali Klitschko, who relinquished his WBC heavyweight crown after suffering a knee injury, may return to the ring if his political aspirations don't prove successful.
"Vitali has been talking about coming back if he isn't elected mayor in Kiev," said Tom Loeffler, manager of K2 Promotions, the company that was started by Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko a few years back. "Don't be surprised if he returns to boxing."
The elections in Kiev, Ukraine are taking place in March.
Klitshcko had been within days of defending the WBC title against Hasim Rahman when he suffered a knee injury while training. Now, Rahman is poised to defend the title against James "Lights Out" Toney on March 18 in Atlantic City.
Loeffler said younger brother Wladimir Klitshcko is poised to meet IBF title-holder Chris Byrd in Germany on April 22nd.
It was just a month ago that the eldest Klitschko stated he would hang up his gloves, but with one heavyweight title-holder John Ruiz losing his belt to Russian giant Nicolay Valuev, and his younger brother poised to meet IBF title-holder Chris Byrd, it just might be enough incentive for Dr. Ironfist to return.
well i hope the election doesnt go to well.
i wish he could just return, get in shap and start the ass whopping
If he comes back it better be against the Rock-Toney winner otherwise its a duckjob. I am hoping he comes back though if his knee can handle it
...Remember, he has the title WBC champ emeritus. Supposedly that means he gets an immediate shot if he comes back. Of course he will go for the WBC title under those conditions. When Wlad beats Byrd they can realize their dream of holding the crown at the same time if Vitali comes back and fights whoever is holding that belt.

I liked vitali when he was around, but whats the ****ing point if he's still going to be so injury prone?
.....I knew silky sheet boy would have a ****ing heart attack over this article. lol lol
It doesn't get much more pathetic than posting lol's after your own post.
Why would anyone be upset by this?
He couldn't get through a training camp without hurting himself, and you think he'll fight again?
The only reason this thread sucks is not because of the content, but because it gets trolling losers like yourself that post little to nothing about boxing to come back posting circle jerk threads.
This does not surprise me whatsoever. So much for Klitschko's political aspirations. Without that, he will need to keep himself in the public eye, but what is boxing to him now, a way to raise his spotlight until the right political position comes up? I expect that WBC champion emeritus status or not, he would waltz into any fight he wanted upon coming back.
Lol, some people are too predictable for their own good.
Like you showing up when you rarely post in this forum?
You're right. Funny how quiet it got after he retired and how with one thread about either Klitschko you get names that disapeared ages ago coming back so quickly.
I hope he comes back and shuts all the haters' mounths to hell. To say that he was scared of Rahman and decided to retire versus taking $8,000,000 and fight the bum is so ******ed that it doesn't deserve a discussion.

You are trolling again, Boozo. I am posting in Classic and Russian lounges where I hope I will never see your ****** ass.

All we ever heard from Klitschko Nut Huggers in response to pointing out he'd never accomplished anything significant in his career was "Just wait, you'll see".
We waited, and saw him retire having done next to nothing noteworthy in his entire career.
He was inactive, and couldn't get through a training camp without injuring his body in several places.
Now, after another year of inactivity and a year older, he's going to come back and tear it up?
Sounds like another excuse to bring out the "Just you wait and see"'s agian.
