For instance, year-round random drug testing. It is a complete joke because if any of these boxers test positive when they are out of competition, there will be no penalties! So what is the point? And even when they are caught in-competition, the penalty is what, a couple months? Joke!

And many do not see the very obvious corruption of boxing. They are so blinded that they think it's a coincidence convicted PED peddlers like Memo Heredia and Victor Conte come running into boxing -- out of all the sports out there!

I think the NBA has gone under the radar for PEDs too. Very under the radar. Their testing is a complete joke too. Worse than boxing I think actually.
Oh yea. In the NBA circles its well known they juice. The attitude is, less injuries and why bother with the controversy? But the testing protocols in the NBA are designed so the players won't be caught. The NFL union blocked testing for human growth hormone. So HGH isn't even tested for in NFL. That shows you how easy it is to juice in these sports. These sports don't want to ruin their numbers, lose money. The people who run the sports, are fine with their athletes juicing. They tacitly endorse it. But this is unacceptable in boxing.

But, it's rife in the NBA too. Problem is, in boxing, the motivations for juicing are just higher than they are in any other sport, and the testing in boxing is a bigger joke than it is in NBA or NFL.

Tennis, cycling, and swimming are instituting biological passports, this is a cost effective and actually effective way of knowing what athletes have been putting in their bodies.

In boxing, many times, you only get one shot. And you're trying to knock somebodies head off for 12 rounds. You're not throwing a ball into a hoop. It's so much more important that congress cleans up boxing, rather than effing cycling or baseball.

I mean, poor Paul Williams, getting brutally KOed by a 37 year old guy, who is insanely fast and strong. This is dangerous stuff. But because it's a sport watched and dominated by varying degrees of brown people, congress won't do anything.

If a year round random drug testing is a complete joke to you what else you can say about Floyd 2 months OST? At least in year round there is a higher chance you will be caught and exposed to the public.

Let's keep digging up these rumors that no one reputable has ever run with guys. It holds about as much weight as the JMM and Manny rumors. It doesn't mean ****. If they've seen the contract show us it, just snap a pic...if not I can make up anything I want and claim it as gospel but with zero proof it's all nonsense.

Are boxers juicing? I'm going to say yes, it's easy not to get caught especially if you know what they test for. Athletes in all sports are on gear...it is what it is, they should just make it legal and then that way everyone's clear across the board what they're getting into. Make it like bodybuilding, you can have a champion and a natural champion if they want to go that route...who doesn't love more belts?

Year-round testing is useless because there are no penalties aka no consequence, for testing positive outside of competition. There are only penalties for testing IN-competition.

Secondly, the purpose of year-round testing is to protect the safety of BOTH fighters. Nonito Donaire is doing year-round testing, but his opponents are NOT. So Donaire's opponents are protected, but Donaire himself is NOT protected from his opponents. So his health is in more danger than his opponents. How ******ed is that? It is extremely ******ed to protect your opponent, while you are unprotected from your opponent.

For year-round testing to be useful and not useless, it has to be applied practically all across the board, with the majority of fighters. And there has to be very strict penalties for positive results whether they are in-competition or out-of-competition. One year suspensions, two year suspensions, etc.

Seriously! Poor Paul Williams! Known for having a solid chin, gets KO'd like he has a glass jaw with one shot. He got KO'd so brutally, he nearly died. His eyes had that look of death or an NDE (near-death experience). And all because of a guy who suddenly has new found power he's never exhibited before. And few even bat an eye. They just cheer! Same with Matthysee. None batted an eye at the foes he dropped with one punch. Then he gets randomly drug tested and suddenly his opponent doesn't fall to pieces like bowling pins anymore.

Pacquaio nearly died in that ring too. Being that he was so popular and elite, if he had died, testing in boxing would have changed completely. And that's what it's going to take unfortunately. Someone famous catching a funeral.

The NFL is funny. I mean, you got guys like Adrien Peterson suffering big time ACL injury and coming back less than a year later performing better than ever! Winning an MVP! Impossible without PEDs! No way you recovering like that, and that fast! So yeah, I agree alot with what you said. There is too much money involved, so they look the other way. And the NBA plays so many games, all the practice, all the traveling, it's so much wear and tear on the body. I don't blame them for juicing.

NSAC's random drug testing for Marquez vs. Bradley included a biological passport. So in a way that's a small step in the right direction. That thing needs to be included all across the board though for most of the fighters. Too bad though it's going to take death for this to happen.
