Ok man whatever you say. Nearly everyone here says it was a competitive fight with Jones winning clearly, while you said it was a shut out. Ancient history anyway between two young fighters who didn't even reach their primes on an undercard.

There is not one round where Bernard landed more, or more effective punches. Meanwhile Roy landed flush shots to Bernards head every round. Bernard landed one clean shot in round 8. It was a domination in that Bernard could not win a single round, although he was competitive, and he kept coming, but he kept eating shots without landing anything.
Such a boring fight but I might give it a re-score and see what I get.

Note: Harold letterman had it 10-0 going into the final 2 where I think he mercy gave Hop the last two rounds. I say no way, Roy won the last two as well. He beat hop in the fashion Floyd beat Conelo accept easier, but Bernard was 10x more game than conelo and much better.
I'm not sure if it was a shutout or not but I couldn't pick a round that Hopkins clearly won.

I think that boxing fans don't get upset enough about B-Hop/Roy not getting made after Hop beat Trinidad. That was THE Mega fight to make.

Bernard didn't want to give up that shine right after just getting it.

I was right there till I re-watched it. Everyone saying 3-4 rounds is saying "I think I remember Bernard winning 3-4 rounds" Thats being said because it was so odd to see Roy not absolutely toy with guys. In this fight he actually had to buckle down and fight like a real boxer. Now in hignsight we have absolute respect and appreciation for Bernards greatness and we understand that Roy did fight this guy as if he was fighting a top 3 middle of all-time. When you watch the fight and just watch it as two greats rather than looking at it a "Roy aint toying with this guy so he's not doing well" you realize that in this one true real fight, that Roy won every round even though he wasn't able to Toy with bernard. From a pure boxing purist standpoint, Roy did not loose a round to Bernard even though Bernard was game the entire fight.

If you watch Marquez Floyd, you'll see that Marquez had more success hitting Floyd than Bernard had hitting Roy. You will see Marquez in Floyd face the entire fight. The fights are truly mirror images of each other.
