Might have something to do with that EE slugger taking the division by storm last year.

If you're reading into it that I'm using "slugger" as a derogatory term or to say he's crude or something you're wrong. I'm saying slugger as in an aggressive puncher. Which he 100% is. That doesn't mean anything to do with how good he is to clarify for you. HBO wants an aggressive white guy who can punch to market. Is this a new thing? Am I gettin "uppity" by stating the obvious? A good aggressive white puncher will always have a big fanbase for American TV. They have one and they think he'll beat Stevenson and they have a huge hard on to get their guy in with Stevenson because they know they have a bigger commodity in him than Stevenson. Is what it is.

Look: I'm not interested in the fighter's "color"... I would not mind if he was green or magenta -- I'm only interested in the fighter's craft and heart... I also appreciate truthfulness in fighting... By the way: don't you label many Latino fighters as "white guys" as well? I do...

Stevenson's plans must be Pascal-Bute winner, then Kovalev or his successor (unlikely) and then winner of that should get Andre Ward. Personally think the Kovalev fight is his toughest. Stevenson's whiskers are vulnerable, Kovalev may KO him. Ironically, Stevenson's power is equally as good and its a real pick 'em. Both these guys could, only could, knock Ward out if they could catch him

Firstly, a lot of y'all are so quick to jump the gun. I thought Stevenson was scared of him? They could write a book about y'all and title it "The Boy who Cried Duck".

Secondly, Adonis is going to shut a lot of y'all up when he beats Kovalev. But I do expect to hear some of your tones change as the fight arrives because Adonis is getting better and will likely impress even the nay-sayers in the 2 fights he has before Kovalev. That's IF he fights Kov as his 3rd fight this year.
