Why did Schaefer lie about the rematch clause?

I don't know what the options are with Maidana before the Broner fight, I don't think Broner would insert a rematch clause in a contract due to his confidence, but then people are saying a clause exist, I don't know why anyone would lie about a clause lol. At the end of the day if there is no clause then no one can force Maidana to take the fight.

This lie is all about Broner in mind. Has nothing to do with Maidana. If there is anything Schaeffer is consistent with, it's not giving a damn about foreign fighters.

They even say Broner is brave. As if the revenge factor is abnormal in boxing. In reality, he's taking the shortest route to revive his rep. He loses for the second time, at least he lost to one fighter only. Their other options for him are worse. If he gets cab drivers again, it won't do anything for him. If he takes on Matthysse and others, and loses, he's gone for good.
