Joe Calzaghe beat everybody around him,he dominated his weight class and went to America to beat BHOP at 42Y(LHW),was he old? BHOP is still a world champ at 48y and P4P among the bests so to me that was a great victory;JOE was the agressor making BHOP walk vs the wrong corner after the bell in almost every round(BHOP had ROACH in his corner to help him to beat JOE but it wasn't enough). Roy's victory is a different story!!! His fight with a undeafeted KESSLER is only a one fight that showed his greatness;Lacy was good before that punishment JOE inflicted to him,SAKIO BIKA tried a dirty war but he couldn't overpower and overmuscle/strenght JOE but we can talk since the beginning of his world champion days when COLLINS didn't want any part of JOE saying that the doctors wanted him to retire(perhaps/probably the truth),OTTKE retired undeafeted because didn't fight JOE,etc.....HE is ATG and HOF with 46-0,what more?

Well done, you have summed this up perfectly, there are so many people trying to discredit Joe at every chance they get most them are Froch fan's and we see how he has turned out with the Groves saga. Joe is the best fighter to come out of these shores and will be honoured in the Hall of Fame and these trash talkers will never change that. Thanks Joe for all the great fights I really enjoyed following your career the fights with Eubank/Kessler/Lacey/Biko/Hopkins were fantastic - I am proud you represented this Great Nation and carried the flag for all those years.

A fight with Roy in his prime would have been a bigger payday. Joe wanted to beat a badly faded Roy for decent money. Anyone with any boxing knowledge knows prime Joe couldn't have held a candle to Roy when he was even close to not being shot. Joe took advantage of circumstance. Now, I don't blame him for it because he was a good/great fighter trying to earn respect, but call it what it was. He wanted nothing to do with Roy while he was near his peak. That's a fact.

Roy was also in a weight division above Joe, there is hardly any boxers ever who could handle Roy in his prime.

Joe calzahges career from the eubank fight to the kessler fight might as well have never happened because everyone he fought was a joke. Yeah he beat Lacy but what did he turn out to be?

Joe Calzaghe was a legend of the sport, look at the last 6 fights of his career, he beat a prime Bernard Hopkins in Vegas. He unified the WBA/WBC/WBO Super Middleweight titles by beating an undefeated prime Mikkel Kessler who beat Carl Froch. He schooled an undefeated prime Jeff Lacy who was viewed at the time as the best in the division until he was exposed by Calzaghe, and defeated current WBC Super Middleweight king Sakio Bika in a war! Roy Jones was past his prime but Calzaghe was 36 too so what more did he have to prove? He beat all the best and had nothing to prove to anyone. Haters gonna hate, 46-0 speaks for itself!
