That's hard to say. Think his last fight in his prime was Marquez, when his prime 'started' I'm not sure.

Floyd doesn't do good against pressure fighters. When he has to fight a pressure fighter he always gets help from the referre. When ever you rewatch a Mayweather fight and its against a pressure fighter pay attention to how the refferee handles Flodys opponet. In the Guererro fight Ref. Robert Byrd literly threw Guererro off of Floyd while Guerrerro was trying to swarm Floyd with a upper and lower attack (round 7) and after this he stays in Guerreros eye range and dogs him by following him around the ring looking in his eyes.

Floyd don't do good against pressure fighter. The 2nd Castillo fight in which some people say Floyd won easy is a lie. Castillo forced Floyd to lead and Floyd ain't good at it least not against Castillo. One big reason he didn't fight Margarito was because he was a heavy pressure fighter willing to take 10 to get one of his in. Floyd also hates a dirty fight, Floyd can fight and does fight dirty but if you do this to him he doesn't know how to react but complain.

I honestly think Floyd's prime is right now. If you are talking in terms of physique, then it is probably between 2005 and 2009 but I personally think he is at an all time high defensively and in terms of ring generalship at this moment in time. I need to watch more Julio Cesar Chaves fights before I can really form an opinion of who is better though.
