Whatever.Maybe he should listen to his own lawyer. Or the consultants that warned him about financial discrepancies in the books.
Maybe he shouldn't have refused Mayweather's request for PED testing when Floyd already made TWO concessions in that negotiation (50:50 for the clear #2 PPV draw, and $10M/lb over 147)
The point remains, the little dude has a legacy that Andre Ward can only dream about at this point.Comment

9. When Floyd tried to make the fight happen, Arum said no, they HAVE to build an outdoor stadium first.
10. If Floyd copromotes with Top Rank, he will have to share the profits with Bob Arum and HBO, his direct, hostile competitors. Apparently, Pacquiao supporters can't understand why it's a bad business move to share a huge profit with direct, hostile competitors, when you could just wait them out instead.Comment

I think at the time they believed 147 was a risk for Pacquiao, a risk (according to the old quotes) they were only prepared to take for financially lucrative fights like Oscar and Floyd. Roach kept repeating Cottos size advantage in the build-up, they were worried about it.
As it turns out imo they need not have worried about it, Pac handled the move up with ease and went on to beat more opponents at 147 and 150.
Nor do I. I don't think it made much difference either, I think Ward would still have dominated him at 170-172lbs. He's just better than Dawson.Comment

Remember thats what happened to Sergio Martinez..
Martinez was the big scary man that Mayweather was ducking....
And then...Martinez calls out Pacquiao at a CW of 151-153...And Pac fans tottaly flipped, Martinez has been labeled a old man cherry picker every since.Comment
