The quality of fighter and the rankings at the time are so different though. We're talking to top 5 p4pers, one of which is an ATG. I'm sorry, beating Lucas Matthysse 7-5 or 8-4 isn't better than beating Marquez the same or Donaire 9-3 or 10-2. Rigo and Bradley were underdogs as well.

You argued anyone with sense would think Garcia/Matthysse was 50-50 as well. Doesn't mean that's how it was seen to the betting public.

Neither are overrated. They're both very, very good fighters.

        All they do is win.

          Alas, you are correct.

Bradley's a good athlete and has great heart/determination, he's a decent boxer as well (nothing more than decent), but he's not an elite fighter. It won't be long before he gets his first loss on paper, he's already got 2 (one against a B level fighter with little talent), just not officially.

D.Garcia's got good power and a great chin, but he's not a naturally gifted boxer. He's slow, flat-footed, got no head movement and lacks versatility. His footwork and movement in general just isn't good enough.

I'm not saying these guys are bad fighters, but they're nowhere near as good people think imo. Especially D.Garcia, who I feel is the more overrated out of the two.
It sems to me that your description of Garcia is just about a description of Rocky Marciano, except that Marciano bent from the waist and always went in head first.

              Def Garcia. Bradley is proven

Although I did think Garcia would lose to Mathysse

NEITHER both have really earned their spots. RIsing stars on that borderline, BOTH just need that ONE dominating victory over a prime rival

I'd have to go with Garcia. As much as I don't like Bradley's style, I have to admit he is a good fighter. Not one of the greats but he is definitely a solid fighter. Garcia on the other hand, in my honest opinion (I have friends here who are Garcia fans so my apologies/nothing personal), is one of the luckiest fighters in the sport. He's had a string of lucky fights with lucky scenarios... He is a decent fighter but I expect for him to be put into the C-/D+ level at the end of this year.

Define "Overrated"... Better yet, if they're both "Overrated" then who do you have to beat to be rated?

I don't think either are overrated in all fairness because they both deserve the position they are in...

However if forced to pick between the two I would say that in general Garcia is more than Bradley, despite how questionable a couple of Bradley's W's are to some people.
