I don't think Maidana would have any more success to be honest.

I am not trying to discredit Maidana, but if he couldn't drop Khan, who isn't exactly a Jake la Motta, or Alexander (who got dropped by Matthysse) I don't see him knocking down ( let alone out) Mayweather.
Floyd decided to stand in the pocket or defend on the ropes at least once in all his recent fights. Canelo...cotto..ghost.. u name it. Its a pattern with him. One of his only discernible patterns. Dont get me wrong im aware of what Mayweather is.. hes a modern day grandmaster of the pugilistic arts... but any man can be got. Its testament to how highly I rate maidana at this point in time that I say he's probably the riskiest realistic fight on Floyd's scape.

I don't know if I would call it laziness. But I feel you.

It'll be something along the lines of that. No matter who he fights, after he wins theres some excuse after. Nevermind that Ortiz was coming off FOTY and had a belt, he's demoted to a "cross eyed armadillo" Nevermind that Cotto was coming off 3 TKO victories and avenged his loss to Margarito. while Floyd has to come to 154 for only the second time in his career. He'ss demoted to "bloated" Nevermind Guerrero was Floyds mandatory and EVERYONE and their mother was saying he was ducking the Ghost after news surfaced that he'd be fighting Alexander instead, he's demoted to "featherfisted", on top of that he didnt look to "featherfisted when he made Berto look like he had a damn allergic reaction. BUT I DIGRESS.

He should fight whoever he wants and whoever makes the most money because the excuses will follow after anyway, might as well get a big check from it.
well maybe he wouldnt get so much flak if everyone didn't see him as the cherry picking ducker that he is. Fighting Pacquiao would be a start

Heh... well broner was attempting to back maidana up in the 8th round, and thats what opened him up to the kd.. I think Maidana if he feels himself being walked and stalked will try to walk through may's shots and do damage. The fight to look at is mosley. Mosley short circuited himself when May started walking him down, he was trying to box with May or match his twitch reaction. Maidana aint gonna try that nonsense If Mosley had said f it and tried to walk through May and just thrown his damn hands, he would have accounted for himself better. Walking forward and pushing a pressure fighter like Maidana might work.. but it might also backfire.

Dana will loose his next fight at 147 mark my words!
If he fights floyd it will be an easy victory in which floyd gets no credit for even tho the floyd haters are startin to say dana can ko floyd like he did ab all this power talk an floyd gettin caught will go right out the window and change to.....dana isnt elite.....who has he beat.....hes not on the same level blah blah blah!
Pac beats dana .....jmm beats dana.....timmy beats dana......thurman beats dana....whos left?!
Prov vs dana would be the beat fight at 147 for dana right now but even that fight is dangerouse for dana.

              Sig me on this.

It's going to be a GATTI

Broner is no mayweather & he did a good job of showing how poor Maidana is on his backfoot, so when mayweather works out his OBVIOUS looping overhands & breaks him down you'll see what i mean.

lol... a gatti. This aint prime Mayweather we talking about. He just doesn't have that same form anymore. He has aged and adapted his style to compensate for his waning physical gifts and less pronounced power as he moved up.

The gatti wasn't about power or physical gifts , it was about poor defense & precision boxing.

Both which Mayweather still possesses, Maidana is C+, I really don't rate Broner after the malignaggi fight.

                  It's gonna be EASYWORK

Don't want this fight at all, its a disgrace that it is even being mentioned!
He beat Broner whom is no better than Andre Berto now he is getting a shot at Floyd Mayweather possibly?
Just a complete mismatch, who would even want to pay to see that!

Stick to 154lbs or just retire because the 147lbs division is done and dusted, its time to step up and test yourself the only fight in 147lbs worth watching is Pacquiao and that is all because of that dumbass making excuses and not wanting to fight a prime fighter.

Yeah it was... nearly every punch from May in that performance hurt Gatti. He had serious pop at that weight.

But have fun waiting for a Gatti... seeing as Mayweather hasnt Gatti'ed anyone since.... well Gatti.
