This may devastate some people but it's just the truth.
You hear all this talk about broner, how he's "young doe" and he has all this immense talent and he will bounce back and be stronger than ever.....
People need to realize this now before they get disappointed in the future, broner just isn't that good.Comment

I see your point, but why would Mayweaher decide to stand in the pocket if he can pot shot/ outbox Maidana all night long?.I think if you or I are aware Maidana can't jab Mayweather that much, then Garcia knows that as well. Maidana's best chance would be to keep Mayweather moving and keep pressuring him until Money decides to stand in the pocket or defend on the ropes. Then unload the kitchen sink. Test his shell.
Another interesting tidbit: Maidana has the mindset to walk through Mayweather to land. He is fully capable of walking through Money, at least for a time.
maidana has over 80 percent kos... he lands the right shot he has stopping power in either hand.
Besides, Canelo might not have the right mindset to walk through his opponents, but he is much bigger and powerful than Maidana, yet could not walk through Mayweather.
I don't think Maidana would have any more success to be honest.
I am not trying to discredit Maidana, but if he couldn't drop Khan, who isn't exactly a Jake la Motta, or Alexander (who got dropped by Matthysse) I don't see him knocking down ( let alone out) Mayweather.Comment

Yea you're right..Floyd's actually fought a handful of fighters that would make Maidana their b*tch.....Castillo(twice), Chavez, Gatti, Augustus, Corrales, Cotto, Marquez...All these fighters are much tougher than Maidana....
With that being said Maidana's style closely resembles that of Castillo, whom I feel really beat Mayweather in their first fight so Maidana could do better than most think...
I'm a Floyd fan but really why do people never mention the first Castillo fight? Floyd got his az handed to him....An easy 8-4 or 7-5 for Castillo.
I personally would rather watch Maidana-Mayweather as opposed to seeing Khan get sparked in 4 rounds.Comment

If Floyd has one weakness it's the fact that at times he gets lazy with his feet. I honestly can't think of anything else. But at times he'll hang on the ropes far too long. For the most part great but he does get lazy.I see your point, but why would Mayweaher decide to stand in the pocket if he can pot shot/ outbox Maidana all night long?.

Because Marcos is nowhere near castillos precision and ability.Yea you're right..Floyd's actually fought a handful of fighters that would make Maidana their b*tch.....Castillo(twice), Chavez, Gatti, Augustus, Corrales, Cotto, Marquez...All these fighters are much tougher than Maidana....

Don't forget workrate....
"Nowhere near" I think is a bit harsh though. They do share similar styles and Maidana's precision appears to be improving. He looked clearly improved vs Broner compared to his previous fight.Comment

Yeh but were you okay when Bradley "ducked" Khan shamelessly instead of unifying the division and got a 5 million Pacquiao payday?Comment
