The Title of this tread should be Showtime in the Dark not Maidana, if Mayweather vs Khan gets made. Showtime will lose a lot of money. Mayweather wins again. Lol!

I'm sick of people arguing over who is more deserving between khan and maidana. IMO maidana is more deserving but **** it make Maidana vs Khan 2 and the winner gets Floyd in September in a mega fight. In the meanwhile Floyd vs Garcia in May who is the more deserving candidate IMO.

Indeed most said Diaz won that fight

Yet Diaz is washed up bum who gave the IBF champ hell

In all honest facts i dont think Broner could beat Diaz, the one who fought Porter and Khan back to back

Its gonna be Maidana. If you look at Mayweathers last opponents they have all came off big victories and fight of the year candidate fights (except Alvarez). Ortiz and Guerrero had just beaten Berto in thrilling fights and Maidana fits that exact pattern. Plus Maidana deserves the payday more than Khan.

Anyhow, I never believed Khan would get the fight, I still don't think he gets the fight so I think you can probably rest easy.
Common Webblerito we all know that Khans speed doesn't mean anything when he doesn't know how to use it. Bum rushing and wailing your arms like crazy doesn't mean it's going to be an exciting fight. Specially not against Mayweather. If anything if one of the two was to land a solid punch I rather it be Maidana who's got the better punch. Khan has never been anything but hype and the way I see it they can't even sell that hype anymore the way Khans been performing against sub par opponents

so by your logic khan beating diaz means he also beats porter because they had a draw or something like that? so is fair for me to say that this maidana (current maidana not 2010) not just beats khan, ends his career, without any argument.

                  triangle theories doesn't work.

after their fight maidana has gone north while khan has gone south, amir is getting worse man, thats why he didn't take the fight with alexander, he knew there were big chances of losing and that would've meant not getting the mayweather fight

"new" Maidana will do this and that but the point is when Maidana had Khan infornt of him he couldnt even drop him. What earlier version? He was 28-29 man thats a dude in his prime and was Boogeyman of 140lbs at that time and ppl said how Maidana will take his head off.

Khan is on sidelines calculating kinda like how Bradley was and "ducked" Khan for a 5 million Pacquiao payday was that okay? Not sure about you but alota ppl didnt have a problem then. This is wat i mean when i say hating on Khan is like the trend or the cool thing to do.

Khan is a "bum" who was unified champ at 140lbs and beat more legit fiters than Canelo and Ortiz put together and they stayed relevant after losing to Khan: Kotelnik (owned Alexander but got robbed), Malignaggi (who won a second title in second class after that loss), Judah (kept getting big fites), Maidana whom we all know reached new heights. I would put Mr roids aka Peterson in there too.
Sorry dude, you can tell yourself all day, Khan is a bum that refuses legitimate fighters all in the hopes he gets to move to the front of the line. He's lost 2 of his last 4 fights and in your mind that entitles a loser at a shot at Mayweather. Khan's looked weak even in the fights where he wasn't KTFO. The last two opponents that Khan has fought have 16 combined losses, while Mayweather's last two had 1, and Maidana's 6. See where I'm going with this?

We won't, we'll get a Guerrero type effort. The crowd will boo before the end again.

Maidana might have beaten Broner, but Khan has beaten Maidana (and more recently Diaz who drew with Porter).
Khan was scheduled to fight Alexander why'd he sit that out unless he knew the ice cream cone he calls a chin would have been creamed and whipped.

No I don't dismiss Maidana's loss to Khan, but of the two fighters one is taking on his challenges while the other one is waiting in the welfare office for a sympathy check from Mayweather. Khan had the benefit of a bad ref as well a Maidana that didn't press the attack or cut off the ring as well as the version that fought Broner. Maidana has noticeably improved while Khan has been noticeably absent.

He's got great speed and he's a good combination puncher. His biggest weakness is his tactical naivety, I can't see him sticking to a game-plan for 12 rounds. At some stage - probably at a point when things aren't quite going to plan - he'll lose his head and start throwing punches aimlessly and open himself up for counters. His chin is obviously a bit suspect as well, but I don't really think Floyd's got the power to take advantage of that.

I think he'll cause Mayweather all sorts of problems, mostly in the first half the fight, but end up losing on a close points decision.

I can't believe people would rather see Maidana fight Floyd, he'd get shutout. He's slow and Floyd would see his punches coming from miles away and not get caught with anything big. Same for D.Garcia, I don't care who 'deserves' a shot at Floyd, I care about who's gonna give him the best fight. The likes of D.Garcia and Maidana are slow and flat-flooted, they'd get countered by Floyd for 12 rounds. They haven't got the skillset to give Floyd a good fight.
I'm just going to be real with you, Khan isn't going to give Floyd any problems at all, everyone seems to know that except you. Khan is not a threat to anyone at 147 much less Mayweather, which is why his sits on the sideline batting his ridiculous eyes hope Mayweather will see him. If Khan can't stick to his game plan which you admitted he won't he going to get the breaks beat off of him.

Sorry, I have no faith in a fighter that ducks Alexander because he has no faith in his chin. A guy like that is supposed to inspire fans to spend their hard earned cash on a PPV.

                    • Khan would be a breath of fresh air, an opponent from a...different zip code...that seems to have abilities that Floyd's recent crop of opponents didn't. It could do good numbers if its in the UK. Why do it in Vegas?

But something tells me ...that it will indeed be Maidana-and another sparring style fight-for several obvious reasons. It doesn't matter that Floyd's recent opposition lacked the speed or athleticism to even lay a glove on him. Its a group of opponents that happen to bring in a large fanbase and PPV buyrates.

Its also the type of opponents that have allowed Floyd to become the reigning highest paid athlete in all sports the last couple of years. He didnt do this by fighting the Zab Judahs, and non hispanic opponents like that. He did it but dancing around lead footed come-to-me-stand-right-here opposition.

So basically Mexico (and Mexican-Americans), Puerto Rico (and PR-Americans), and South America will be tops on the list.

I should have also mentioned that all the best opponents of a different zip code other than south of the border are at Top Rank!! Pacman and Desert Storm! Floyd is only dealing with Golden Boy's pool, which, superstar wise is...is severely lacking in the diversity department arounf Floyd's weight class range.
