You're acting like its going to be SO easy for Garcia to install a different gameplan into Maidana. What Maidana did against Broner is basically what he is-a straight ahead aggressive brawler. He did the SAME thing in the Lopez fight. Maidana is 30 years old. Garcia may be able to change little things, but in the heat of battle with Floyd, Maidana WILL revert back to what he knows, and what he wins with.

I mean that's the most recent measurement of Khans "skills", and he looked horrible against a washed up lightweight. I mean where are you guys getting this grand idea Khans speed can trouble Floyd? Where was this speed and skill for the Diaz fight? Ill wait..

It was funny 2-3 years ago and it still is.

Khan is perhaps the #1 example of how people overrate speed. Speed doesn't mean squat if you can't use it right. Khan is too devoid of technical skills, ring smarts, instincts, balance, footwork, defense, accuracy, punch resistance, etc...for Mayweather. The only chance he has is if Mayweather suffers a freak accident and breaks his leg or kneecap.

Other than that, the only question is whether Mayweather wins by stoppage, or 12-0, 11-1, or 10-2. Or maybe, just maybe, 9-3.

guranteed floyd breaks khans heart and picks maidana at the last minute. floyd has the habit of fighting a guy coming off his biggest wins. khan has been like an annoying gnat in the boxing press, never shutting up about a floyd fight, the guy just rambles on, even if hes knocked out he keeps just looking pitiful and desperate. i hope floyd goes with chino, he deserves the payday. khan can fight thurman on the undercard to prove himself at 147.

Floyd and Broner are very different fighters, which is why though Maidana was able to pummel one, he'd get badly outclassed by the other. Floyd is NOT gonna stand in front if Maidana and not throw punches while getting the hell beat out of him. Maidana will quickly find himself on the wrong end of a check hook, counter, or uppercut if he tried the same aggression on Floyd. Floyd would also be smart enough to see Maidana sucking wind by round 4 and target the body.

I agree with what you say here, but Maidana can also adjust for one, and two, it's a better matchup than Khan, and a more deserving fighter than Khan no matter how you slice it.

I think we're wrong if we believe Maidana is going to fight Floyd the same way he fought Broner. Robert Garcia will devise a different approach. The key is that he has also to prepare a B plan because Floyd will adjust. Anyway I don't have any doubts they're not going to the fight for a paycheck. They will try everything to win.
