He meant it's like if Lebron didn't want to face the tough Pacers in the ECF because of Larry Bird, instead choosing to face the easier opponent.

You can take what they are all saying with a pinch of salt, but their might be something to it
I think it could have more to do with Floyd taking an opponent lightly for once Floyd will figure he's been fighting the bigger guys at 154 an see Khan as a smaller man but one thing about Khan is his speed brings good power so I think Floyd will be pretty surprised possibly even get stunned by Khan while going for the ko himself put it this why it wouldn't surprise me if Khan beat a 37 yo mayweather

I'd be WAAY more intrigued in a Broner vs Khan showdown, been calling for that for the longest.
all of what you said is true imo. But Khan thinks he is a superstar

Last time Floyd had to do a press conference when Manny was on pretty much the worlds mind Floyd introduced himself by saying "Floyd Mayweather only wants to fight the biggest and the best out there, and YES! Manny Pacquiao you're next." He then denied saying that after the Victor Ortiz fight.
Now that Manny is relevant again it will be funny to watch him promote what many think is a bogus fight and try to sidestep Manny and Bob Arum questions.

I'm sure Floyd has final say in his matches. Do things work like Floyd gets the PPV together and Showtime just puts them on their airwaves? Does Showtime have the right to say we don't want this event?

If Khan was confident it was him it would be no point of saying I have signed the contract. All he would have to do is sit back and wait for the offical announcement. He knows its good chance it won't be him anymore a Golden Boy fighter trainer has said he got a email saying it's Maidana. But we will see in a couple of weeks.
