The fact that Khan would make this announcement and highlight the fact that Mayweather hasn't signed yet shows he concerned about getting this fight. If I were Khan, I'd be worried too because I've been reading nothing but near universal revulsion at the thought of a match like this, and I'm assuming he can read too. Khan hasn't earned this match and as each day goes by more and more momentum is swinging to Maidana. Personally, I think Maidana has zero chance of beating Floyd but he's coming off the most impressive win of his career and he's got a better chin.

Khan reminds me of someone that thinks taking shortcuts is equivalent to hard work and dedication.

For the record win, lose, get KTFO or draw I've never seen Khan in a snooze fest. Not to hype about this fight but I think It will be more entertaining than May-Canelo

If Floyd was going to sign then he would have already. Amir Khan is gonna be trying to sue gbp and Floyd since he pulled out of his fight unecessarily to make this fight. Big dummy

Of course contracts were drawn up. Floyd and his team are having a hard time selling this match up.

team mayweather cant backtrack on their cherrypicking now.

this is a streak or record of some sort: 8th consecutive cherrypicks by floyd.

and a good number of duckage as well.

Im not at all happy with this fight unless its free, but you mention 2 other opponents. Ortiz was coming off of 5 wins and 1 draw before fighting Mayweather. The draw was against Lamont Peterson a fight in which many felt he won. His last fight was voted fight of the year, an impressive win against Berto who was undefeated and virtually walking through every one who was put in front of him, also Ortiz had one of the highest KO percentages of any active fighters at the time. Floyd fought Guerrero after doing 90 days in jail, where a DR requested an early release because the food and Mayweathers inability to properly exercise caused him to lose a large amount of muscle mass. Guerrero had only 1 loss and is a solid fighter, not many welter weights can beat him right now. To say that these fighters did not deserve the fight forces me to ask how do you calculate how deserving a fighter is? both Ortiz and Guerrero achieved way more then Canelo, as well as fought better opponents, why do you not include Canelo as a un-undeserved opponents. And who exactly should a fighter fight after coming out of jail?

Khan looks very desperate here. He has no faith in his chin that's why he's on the sidelines just waiting to cash his own ass out on this fight. Should've just fought Alexander then maybe they could've sold this fight. But there's nothing to sell. It even makes mayweather look bad. Its a no win. If mayweather sparks khan out in one round all people are going to remember is that he cherry picked khan who is basically a disabled fighter at this point.
