OK that's fine. But in doing so, he's losing his company money. If he's so far up GBP and Floyd's asses that his loyalies lie with them and not the company that's paying him at least a seven, and maybe an eight figure yearly salary. He's dumber than a mutha****a. I'm gonna stick to my guns that he's not gonna support Floyd's efforts to duck Pac, which in tterm is costing this man's employer millions.

They went all in last year, no stepping back now. They're on a high now, with Canelo doing better than expected, but we'll see if his position changes with a couple of underperforming PPVs. Though of course it's in their best interest to cut out Arum, just a much bigger pot left for them.

Don't you think that asking Pacquiao to leave Top Rank for the fight IS "roadblocking"...?? I can't think it's anything else. Are you so blinded by your own argument that you can't see the facts ?? Top Rank is still the premier promoter with it's own PPV capabilities and constantly innovating the industry. And even if Golden Balls had a good year, what about it; Top Rank also had a good year. Showtime had a good year..so did HBO. But Arum and HBO have to release their long-time global icon just because Mayweather is behaving like a spoiled child and by doing this give Golden Balls and Showtime a huge achievement. You know nothing about business, and certainly not the PR business.

Phoney doesn't want to make the fight until he is certain he will win and take only little damage. That time seems not yet to have arrived.

And Showtime seems to have very unprofessionally inserted itself into the Oscar-Arum rivalry. I believe that they are doing what HBO was accused of by Arum years ago, promoting instead of showing.

I suppose you didn't know that HBO and Arum were "at daggers drawn" for years and Arum sued them.... Yet, unlike the Schaefer-Oscar-Phoney, crowd, he can put it all aside and do good business with them..... I'm signing off; I have other things to do.

I think ts fairly predictable that the numbers are gonna significantly drop off from what they did with Canelo. If we can foresee that. I'm sure Showtime can too. So like I've been saying. There's no logical reason for them to support Floyd ducking Pac.

As for cutting Arum out. They're not. He's basically gonna be paid to stay outta the way. He'll lose nothing financially. And probably will make a lil more by stepping aside. So really, the only reason he won't is based solely on ego.

Your irrationality, in it's own way, is very much like Mayweather's guarantees' where he was taking from his left hand pocket and putting it in his right hand pocket.... And the $32 mill over Tyson's record $31 Mill was too su****ious... We KNOW this because he eventually when finally cornered, admitted it. It put in question ALL his "guarantees"...

They were far too huge and against all the known legit expenses to have been genuine. (You have to understand that the PPV company takes 50% off the gross right away...) It's even likely that if Showtime were to break down and admit that they were paying Mayweather $30 mill it would very likely be actually $10 mill, with Mayweather supplying the other $20 mill. Which would mean only that he was getting at least $10 mill.

Showtime gets a lot of "reflected glory" from being believed to have paid a boxer over $200 mill. We'll never know the truth, and I couldn't care less. My main reason for replying to you is just as a mental exercise. I don't care what either Pacquiao or Mayweather earn, or what they do with it. I left all that sort of fan nonsense behind when I was about 15.

If there are all these strained relationships on both ends. It further supports the reality that the fight can't be made in the traditional, co-promotion type way. And since Floyd is in the driver's seat. I don't see why Arum can't bow out, especially since he won't be losing any money. And doing what's best for his fighter. Who seems to really need this payday.

Well there are a couple of very good reasons. Mayweather is not in the 'driver's seat' unless he has a series of very top opponents lined up for his next 4 fights.... And we KNOW that he hasn't. We also KNOW that the fight everyone wants to see is against Manny Pacquiao. And this may be putting Top Rank in the driver's seat. We just DON'T KNOW.
