The truth is arum made more money doing inhouse fights. To put on floyd vs pac a whole truckload of money has to be paid out upfront. While in house fights are very cheap to put on and low cost upfront. Pac gets around 10 million arum gets the rest which is significant if the ppv does well.

According to what I believe are verifiable reports on this site, MannyP gets up to 82% of the PPV revenue. Arum makes a lot less than Pacquiao on one of his fights. And he has to pay for everything in advance, and take the risk of it failing. But having a huge draw like Pacquiao have lots of other business benefits I'm sure.

My late uncle was a part time promoter but he didn't have to do 100th of the work involved with a modern properly-run promotion. I was astonished at what I read of the duties and responsibilities of a promoter on the internet.

This is a lie. According to the quoted conversations on THIS site, MannyP answered back with an offer to Phoney Phloyd of $50 mill plus the same other conditions and Mayweather hung off.

Why would the company's president and publically endorse Floyd ducking Manny? Especially when Manny is the only way Showtime is gonna make any money. Answer the question dumbasses.

Of course showtime and Espinosa wants floyd to fight Pacquiao. It's the biggest money fight in Boxing right now. Problem is, they can't publically say that because then it would cause a rift between them and floyd because they're fully aware that floyd is against it. So Instead they have to ride with their cash cows wishes and act as if arum is the problem when in reality the one who doesn't want the fight is floyd. Fourmen; Espinoza from Showtime, Richard Schaefer, Al Haymon and Floyd Mayweather want to make this fight without HBO/Top Rank. There is a huge pot of money for that fight and you can guarantee if PAC does leave Top Rank and signs for this fight his PPV cut will be 0%, he will get a massive flat fee ($30mil) and the rest of the massive pot generated from the fight will be split between Showtime, Schaefer, Haymon and Mayweather, they will get all revenue from this fight, Pacquaio will none, or perhaps a cut from the Phillipino revenue assuming Konzc and Pac's legal team have a clue of what they're doing.

It's a business decision, nothing as childlike as being scared. They want to cut HBO/Arum out. They want exclusive rights to the biggest fight since Ali v Frazier 1. Mayweather beating Pacquaio with TR involved doesn't finish them off, they'll earn a ton of money to reinvest and create new superstars. That's money Showtime and GBP don't want TR to receive. If Pacquaio is out of contract at the end of next year and they think they can make the fight without having to split revenue with another broadcaster and promoter then for them it will make sense to wait another 12 months or so to negotiate with Pacquaio. It's just business folks.

Problem with your theory is that its dumb as f.uck. Showtime is losing money out the ass with this Floyd contract. And there's basically no relief in site without a Pacquiao fight. So Floyd isn't their cashcow. He's actually been the total opposite. Last year would have been a disaster without the Canelo fight. Its my belief that they were trying to build Broner up to do monster numbers with Floyd at some point in 2014. That's gone. Khan or Maidana is gonna tank bad. And from the looks of things. Those could be Floyd's two opponents in 2014. So it makes ZERO sense for Showtime to do anything publically outside of saying "Floyd needs to get his head outta his ass and fight Pac." If they genuinely believed that Floyd was the one responsible for the fight not being made.
