I would not complain about Floyd Khan/Maidan on regular showtime.

I'm kind of hoping Floyd stays at 147, enough with the 154 stuff. I don't think he looks nearly as good at JMW. I don't mind Maidana in May. It's a unification, he's become a Top 5 WW probably after beating Karass, Lopez, and Broner. I think it's a solid fight, and the best realistic option at 147 at the moment. Khan is bull though.

I'd rather see Khan fight Victor Ortiz or something, so long as Ortiz doesn't lose to Collazo. In the meantime, have Danny Garcia fight someone like Guerrero, Paulie to get his feet wet at 147 and get a decent win there. Then have Danny and Floyd fight in September.

i'd happily pay $70 for chino. he doesn't have a prayer, but he'll make for a nice contrast in style if he shows up in shape and commits to coming forward for 12 rounds. robert garcia will lay out the most realistic gameplan, and give him the best chance of landing the big punch [i'd guess it would be a left hook high on the head.] mayweather is going to have a very easy time rolling chino's right hand. he follows you around, and doesn't throw it straight.

for me, mayweather fights are what they are. i've grown accustomed to paying $70 for a mismatch. i paid a hell of a lot more to get to vegas for the canelo fight. i just try and appreciate how good he is. especially at 147, he is not losing until he really starts to fade. considering how little damage he takes, i think we have a couple more years at least.

showtime has also been doing decent with their undercards of late. that's a nice gesture for guys like ourselves, who appreciate as much good boxing as they're willing to give. they're better than TR, for sure.

your plan with danny is also agreeable with me. danny's young, and he gets better with every fight. he boxed and used the ring against matthysse. he took the gas of the best puncher in the division, and finished the fight strong. i didn't know he could do those things so well before the matthysse fight.

another guy i am looking at closely is one time thurman. he can punch, move, and he looks like a very motivated guy. i also love dan birmingham. great trainer.

Hopefully not Khan. I've already voiced my feelings about that one.

But Maidana is a legit fight. Anyone else in the world around 140-147 could fight Maidana next, and it'd be labeled a good/solid fight at least. But if Floyd does, ohhhh cherry pick, cherry pick. Bradley and Pacquiao aren't happening for obvious reasons, and Danny doesn't seem to want it next. Who does that leave at 147??? I can't see the problem with Floyd unifying titles at WW right now, especially given Maidana is coming off 3 decent or solid wins.

Hopefully Canelo will fight Lara, and shut all of us up like he did against Trout, when he was supposedly going to duck Trout.

But hey you're right, you're right. You have a never ending need to be right about everything and for everyone to agree 100% with you on here.

I agree that it shouldn't be on PPV, Neither should a few other fights have, but don't wanna get into that.

I would aim for NBC, ABC or such, HUGE ratings, better marketing for casual fans who aren't subscribed to premuim tv IE Showtime, HBO and especially PPV.

I'm pretty sure NBC or such would offer Floyd a big one time payday for a 1 fight promotion.

I think Maidana is a little bit better of a fight than Guerrero or Ortiz were, and I thought those were still legit/solid fights. You know Maidana isn't going to pull an Ortiz and mentally quit, and you know he's going to force Floyd to work 100% of every round.

When will people leave that "brawler vs Floyd" thing along....98% Of Mayweathers opponents were brawlers, some were boxer brawlers, but how many counter punchers has Mayweather faced??? Zab Judah is a good example, dude easily won 5 out of the 12 rounds.

Lara Vs Floyd should be what everyone wants, it's clear that you are gonna have to outbox Floyd. And atlest Khan won't be looking to Brawl against Floyd.

Im just saying, don't people think it's time to give up on the Mayweather being ko'd thing? Lara in my opinion could easily possibly outpoin Floyd MAJORITY of the rounds. A win is a win.

LOL at Judah winning 5 rounds easily. He did jack after the first 4. He won 3-4 rounds, same as Oscar.

To this day, the person who did the best against Floyd wasn't anywhere close to a "boxer". It was Castillo.

Just saying, trying to make the Floyd haters happy, if they want Floyd to lose it's not gonna be against a Brawler, it's gonna be against a Boxer.

                IE Lara

I think Lara would have a decent chance. Thing is, that's never going on PPV, unless Lara were to force everyone's hand and beat Canelo in high profile fight or something. Lara is unknown to anyone outside this forum.

I'm a big Lara fan, and as a fan of his, I know the more realistic fight for him to get exposure is Canelo.

I'm more prepared for it to be Khan; but people are hearing Floyd is picking Maidana(I'll be there so I hope it's Maidana).
