If either fight was on regular showtime, I'd be satisfied by that. Kinda like when Oscar fought 2lb. He did that on network hbo. He did it as a bonifed ppv attraction. That's really the only way I see those fights being acceptable.
I would not complain about Floyd Khan/Maidan on regular showtime.

I have been saying for years that one thing Floyd could do for his legacy would be to have a fight on network TV. How great would it be for the sport to have their biggest attraction bring boxing back to prime time network TV just like the old days.
Now obviously the money would be an issue. But with the right promotion they could hype it up to a super bowl level event and must see TV. They could sell ads at a premium. Plus a guy like Khan would be perfect as he always puts on entertaining fights win or lose. Floyd would look good against a reckless guy like him.Comment

I wouldn't think people would complain nearly as much if Floyd was fighting fights like this on regular Showtime. That makes them so much worse.Comment

What do you mean? Khan is a legit WW. He's fought there once with a catchweight winning a close decision and is 1-2 in his last three fights at JWW. The guy deserves the fight and to be part of the main event on a $75 PPV.
Floyd ain't fighting noone's leftovers.Comment
