I would not complain about Floyd Khan/Maidan on regular showtime.

Oscar-Forbes destroyed the HBO budget for that year. Something like 6-8 million for a mismatch. No thanks.

It really doesn't matter. Those who don't support Floyd won't buy the fight and those who do probably will.

i'd love to be able to fly, but it will never happen.

the world's highest paid athlete is not taking a 95% paycut.

neither is GBP, haymon, or showtime.

That's how felt about the Guerrero fight which was also a complete BS fight that didn't belong on PPV. Mayweather vs Maidana on show is good, but the Floyd vs khan is in no way acceptable.

I wouldn't complain about Floyd-Maidana on anything. Maidana is coming off 3 decent wins at 147, he's the best possible option that's realistic at WW.

Khan, I would complain if it was PPV or regular SHO. That's a garbage fight until Khan does something again.

they would blow their entire boxing budget for a year on one fight. free

mayweather fight, no boxing for the rest of the year?
              no thanks.

HBO would slaughter them in that year. they'd probably never recover.

you guys have to realize that floyd mayweather's guarantee alone is more than the networks spend on boxing for the year.

this is not play money we are talking about. i know now that a lot of you simply cannot understand that.

How do you feel about Mayweather-Maidana in May???

I'm kind of hoping Floyd stays at 147, enough with the 154 stuff. I don't think he looks nearly as good at JMW. I don't mind Maidana in May. It's a unification, he's become a Top 5 WW probably after beating Karass, Lopez, and Broner. I think it's a solid fight, and the best realistic option at 147 at the moment. Khan is bull though.

I'd rather see Khan fight Victor Ortiz or something, so long as Ortiz doesn't lose to Collazo. In the meantime, have Danny Garcia fight someone like Guerrero, Paulie to get his feet wet at 147 and get a decent win there. Then have Danny and Floyd fight in September.

Agreed. But it seems, given Danny and his teams response, they don't want it next.
