Floyd Mayweather vs. Erislandy Lara

Of course. You'd see Lara-Angulo gifs all over the place, and avatars of Lara with a big lump on his head in the Williams fight. These posters will ask why is Floyd not fighting Pacquiao or go up to 160 like Cotto did and fight Martinez (if Martinez beats Cotto).

With that said, if Martinez beats Cotto, I really don't see a bigger fight out there that can realistically be made than Mayweather vs Martinez. That fight would be 1. Money fight, 2. Legacy fight, and 3. Probably fun to watch.

No doubt but until I see Martinez, I question his age and legs. To me, a Martinez fight does more for Mayweather (at this point) than a Pac fight. However I know regardless of how Martinez looks from here on out, people will say he was old and past his prime. See Mosley fight.

Over all I'm with you, Martinez is THE FIGHT. Would be hard to watch cause I'm fans of both but for me, that IS the fight.

Some of us support the Lara fight. Some are Floyd haters, some are Lara fans and some just realize is the best fight to be made. But as far as Mayweather FANS go Ive only seen you asking to see it. Maybe there are others, Idk.

well now your hearing it from two people, just because i dont really see the fight happening doesnt mean i dont want it to. I actually think it would be a decent story line, that whole Floyd dethroned the cubans in the olympics could he do it again in the pro ranks kinda thing. Not to mention lara is a south paw. I'd like to see the bradley, pac fights as well.

Chances are it would be a boring chess match considering their styles, but at the same time one hell of an intriguing fight. This is an acceptable option in my opinion.

It would be a very close fight, that's for sure. Lara is one of the the very few fighters capable of beating Floyd.

I think everyone thinks that. Even the Khan supporters are silent. I truly think he's going after Maidana now because he did very well TV ratings vs Broner plus there is a story that would help sell the fight.

Could be wishful thinking... only time will tell.

If it's between Khan and Maidana, I hope he fights Khan.

Khan's speed and combination punching will give Floyd his toughest fight in years. And Floyd hasn't got the power to take advantage of Khan's biggest weakness (his chin).

Floyd would win a shutout against Maidana, it'd be a walk in the park.
