    Floyd Mayweather vs. Erislandy Lara

    Who would win?

Is this the only competitive fight for Floyd Mayweather at 147/154?

Would Floyd have the courage to take on a good fighter like Lara, or will he go for the smaller, chinny light welterweight Amir Khan?

he went after the much bigger canelo, i dont see why not. That being said, Unless its a fighter that can make a big name for himself at 154 i dont see floyd going back and wasting one of the few fights he has left.

Oh, please. Lara is so overhyped on this forum. Mayweather would clown this runner, and I don't like Mayweather either.

Only if its at 150. When Lara was 15 years old he weighed 122 pounds, he said he would fight anyone at 150 pounds.

Floyd wouldn't fight Canelo at 154.

He insisted Canelo weight-drain down to a catch weight.

The only thing good about this fight is it forces Floyd to work for his points, we get to see him create his offense the whole fight while avoiding the backstepping Lara's punches.

                ^I agree with this.

                Mayweather is leagues above Lara

Canelo is a much more favorable style for Mayweather than Lara is.
Floyd would probably win but Lara's speed, defense and straight left could spell trouble.
