lara would be one of his biggest challenges at 154. i still don't want to see the fight, surely not off of his victory over trout.

lara would only get a fight with mayweather if he kept winning and forced the fight. the style isn't there, nor is the money. i cannot see that happening.

i'd obviously pick mayweather to beat him. yes, lara is a good boxer, but some of you are forgetting how good floyd mayweather is at this sport.

is lara simple too big [long, durable, and hard hitting,] for mayweather? of course not.

floyd UD in a boring fight. it will never happen.

Floyd would probably win but Lara's speed, defense and straight left could spell trouble.

Floyd would never fight Lara. Lara is the man at 154 and Floyd only seems to fight guys he has clear advantages over. Lara's size and pedigree would be too much for the greatest ducker of this generation to even consider fighting...

The problem is, if that fight ever got made people would do to him the same they did to Alvarez after the fact.

Major flip flopping would occur. People would go as far to say Lara should have never been born and that Floyd cherry picked another bum who never beat anyone etc etc etc.

However it's a very legit fight that should be made. Yet the discredit of Lara would start the very second he got put on a Floyd PPV undercard as people know what that means.

I fully agree with everything but it's still a fight that should get made.

Lara wins in UD at 154 in a very boring fight. Floyd ain't that good above 150. Neither is Cotto.

Lara decisions Floyd that's why Floyd will fight khan or Maidana instead.

If Floyd wins, it would be on activity. Lara can be very inactive at times. The fight would be very slow paced, people would feel as if they had $65-70 taken away from them. There would be a lot of complaints of their being no action, constant booing. But I still want to see this fight just to see how it goes down. It's not likely because Lara doesn't bring any kind of fanbase or fan interest. He's paying for being too good. But put him in there with Molina again and his stock will drop even more, not because he'd lose, i'm confident he'd win, it's just that you don't ever look good fighting Molina.

WESS is the only Mayweather fan wanting this fight.

Everyone will be content with Mayweather vacating and fighting one of the 147lbers.

                      I wanna see it too.

                      The problem with Floyd-Lara is

                      1. It's not a money fight, far from it.
                      2. It's not a legacy fight..what has Lara done in his pro career that a win over him would rank Floyd greater than he is as of now?
                      3. It's stylistically unpleasant.

Don't get me wrong, Maidana fails #'s 1 and 2 as well, but he has #3. Mayweather-Maidana would likely make for a Bull-Matador fight, it'd likely be fun to watch.

If Garcia gets a win at WW against a top 10 guy, with what he's accomplished at 140, I would say Garcia would pass all 3.
