Cotto is not even better than Canelo, let alone "1T" times better. I'm sure Canelo takes Cotto at this point. And Martinez should be able to take out Cotto before 12 if he is at least 90%.

Cotto is nothing but a dollar sign at this point, a dollar sign that can be competitive, but his days as an elite are over. He is not a threat to any top 5 fighter. The last fighter he beat wasn't even top 10 in his own division, and the last fighter he beat prior to Rodriguez was Margarito, who was not top 10 either, the fighter he beat before that, Mayorga, was not top 10 either. Cotto's last 3 wins came against 3 fighters that were outside of the top 10 at 154. He's now facing the best fighter in the division above his. That's a big jump in competition.

Canelo, the guy you think so lowly of, at least has 2 wins over #2 and #4 ranked JMW's in the same span as Cotto's wins over lesser opponents.

No he doesn't, just going to copy and paste a post of mine in another thread.

Getting a shot at the lineal middleweight title in your first fight at 160 despite being 1-2 in your last 3 fights and not having beaten a single prime top fighter since arguably clottey.

Cotto doesn't deserve this shot, he should be glad he's getting it and stop acting like a b1tch.

No matter how anyone wants to spin it, Canelo beat Trout. He beat him fairly easily actually. 8-4 at worst. There's a vendetta against Canelo because of various reasons, GBP, he's young, next DLH, obviously skillful and poised for his age, potential Mayweather opponent(at the time), and did way better and made it look easier than a lot of people thought. Trout looked silly missing while Canelo ducked and dodged his weak little jabs that seemed to have impressed a lot of people. Lol, 400 of 700 punches thrown were jabs, how the hell do you win a fight like that when the other fighter landed as many power punches as you, while throwing less? I mean talk about elusiveness, defense, patience, and being economical with your punches. Caleo landed the same amount of power punches as Trout, but threw well-over 100 less. That's a winner to me.

              -Kev-,

You are delusional. Just compare Cotto's resume vs Canelo's (hand me down) resume.

Cotto > Canelo any day any night.

Cant wait 'till this fight happens so King Cotto can sodomize young overly hyped Canelo.

Cotto has fought the best...not afraid to loose, on the other hand Canelo has not.

Wake up brother. Its time for your to face reality.

This is just ******, guys who have carried as many fights as cotto has don't need to start over from the beginning of the line just because they move up in weight.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

You are projecting the insecurities of the fighter whose nickname you have chosen as your own at NSB. There is no b1tch in either Cotto or Maravilla. Your favorite fighter on the other hand, despite possessing incredible skills and physical advantages is made of some b1tch stuff though. Cotto will be remembered as fearless, not so much your hero, despite beating a shop worn Cotto.

Even at his current weight he's not the top dog. It's not about legacy or how many fights he's carried, it's about $$$.
