When's the last time Cotto beat a top fighter?
Foreman? What's your definition of a top fighter? He was a JMW champion and universally regarded as top 10 at 154.

If Larry was Sergio's manager he would be fired. You don't turn down a career high payday against cotto. Sergio should be doing whatever cotto demands.

Um, because Cotto is the A-side. He's just doing what Manny and Floyd did to him. Cotto's just playing the game and he's doing it right.

Cotto is at the end of his career, he should be able to demand what he wants. He fought everyone there was in his time, when they were big in the division.. Its not like he is picking an easy fight here.... He going for history and it takes balls to do what he is doing...

              Foreman?

              Was that a joke?

A top fighter to me is a guy who can who get a belt by beating a top 5 guy and subsequently hold on to that belt by beating the other top 5 guys. Its the difference between a "contender" and a "top fighter".

Actually Martinez has invested his money very well outside the ring and is already set financially. Martinez wants to make more money like anyone else I suppose, but he doesnt need it to ensure a wealthy retirement as Cotto does.

Um, Cotto is set financially as well. Your comment is flawed.
