Why are posters on here acting like Cotto is some kingpin?

Reality is that Cotto is the A side no one is arguing or debating that. The issue I see is that many here act like Martinez is a nobody who should just be happy Cotto decided to fight him. Martinez like all elite fighter have a big ego and are gonna have issues not being able to demand a few things when he is the champ.

Many of you saying Cotto doesn't need Martinez but what other middleweight champ is he going to fight where he'll make 8 digits? Heck no other fighter will get this fight on ppv let alone give him that high a payday.

You misinterpreted what I said. I'm saying that Cotto is going up to fight at middleweight to get that 4th belt to add to his legacy. What im saying is what other middleweight can Cotto fight other than Martinez. P.Quillin? GGG? Martinez is the only lineal champ and only big money fight at middleweight.

Because Martinez is looking to fight someone who will bring a lot of money. Cotto is giving him that chance. It's a **** fight IMO as Cotto should be fighting Alvarez while Martinez should be fighting a real MW. Cotto is not even a solid JMW let alone MW but he does bring money/fans and that is what Martinez wants.
