To be fair he gave him hell. Khan was expected to impress his audience against a supposedly washed up fighter. Although he won, Khan looked like he was declining.

Even if Khan won with a KO/TKO he still wouldn't have gotten any credit as he fought at a catch weight and he was upon expectations meant to beat Diaz in a flashy fight.

Mayweather of course found this comeback victory of Khan - - - impressive.

What exactly did Diaz do to Khan? After the first 9 rounds, Khan had schooled him in pretty much every department except for a quick knockdown from which Khan got up straight away.

Diaz put up a good showing, but no one thought he won the fight. History likes to make the fight closer than it was. It was a pretty clear decision for Khan.

Now, does that make it right? No. But you'll have a hard time finding a better opponent than Khan that can actually be made.
