Former champion Julio Diaz is a little surprised that Amir Khan (28-3, 19KOs) is potentially getting a shot at Floyd Mayweather Jr. (45-0, 26KOs) on May 3rd at the MGM Grnad in Las Vegas. Khan has not fought since the April outing against Diaz. In that fight, Diaz was viewed as an aging veteran being sent to the slaughterhouse, but instead he dropped Khan in the fourth round and then badly hurt him several times in the fight. Khan was lucky to walk away with a close unanimous decision on scores of 115-113, 114-113 and 115-112.
