Miguel Cotto could potentially regret this decision. Speedy southpaw like Pacquiao gives Cotto trouble. Martinez can level Miguel Cotto if Cotto gets caught flush. Martinez also has one of the best southpaw straights to the body in boxing. Bad choice to me and I feel Cotto will lose his 2nd fight in Madison square.Comment

Believe it or not this fight makes sense. both fighters are a little over their primes and the quest for Cotto's 4 world title is intriguing. Would love for Martinez to get a comeback fight first, but business are business.Comment

Disagree with those saying the Canelo fight will still be there down the road.
If Martinez beats him yeah, Golden Boy may want the Cotto fight for his name, but no way Cotto makes as much $$$ as he was being offered right now if he comes having lost 3 of his last 4 fights.
Not to mention the fact that Cotto himself has talked about his next fight possibly being his last.Comment

Love both guys, but if serg is back in good form its gonna be rough on cotto. Cotto is to small at 54, and he will have big issues at 60 i think.Comment

This really is a great fight, and a great decision on Cotto's part.
And as a Golovkin fan, if any potential Sergio conqueror was to have the balls to give Golovkin a shot, it would be Miguel Cotto.Comment
