Great choice Cotto!! Canelo fight will always be there for him to fight the "veteran" fighter. Both Cotto & Martinez getting up there in age and battles. And Sergio been wanting to fight Cotto for years.
I will def be in the building of MSG Cotto watch that Chavez Jr 12th round, left hooks all day baby

I think so too, but I'm just sick of these stateside fighters never having to travel anywhere. Its not like Sergio is some unknown either. Hes a proven champ. If Cotto wants his belt, go to his home and take it from him.

As if Cotto is any bigger than Martinez. Please. Cotto is mostly the other guy on his PPVs.

2011 sergio would have beaten cotto by brutal ko...especially if mayorga tagged cotto numerous times

cotto is catching sergio at a good time...good cherry pick

It doesn't really apply to Cotto though, he's from Puerto Rico. Only big fight he's had at home is Rocky Martinez back in 2003.

I like cotto in this one , cotto doesn't have to weigh the full 160 unless it's mandatory. He could come in at 154 and a half. He came in lighter in his last fight so im guessing he plans to do same in this one . To me the BIG question is ring size , if it's a small one cotto could cut the ring off on Martinez and give him the business and end it , but if it's a huge ring martinez has the goods and experience to give cotto a good beating . Im rooting for cotto but anything can happen in that ring with two warriors

So your plan is to have Cotto basically come in as a small jr. Middleweight and walk down the lineal middleweight champ?

Cotto will win a Split Decision. Remember who said it first.

Like Murray did and got robbed.... right

Martinez and his team probably want the fight in the USA anyways. More money for them.
