Yeah. I hope his sources are guys who really have access to what's really going on and not guys who heard from this guy who got his story from that guy, etc, type of sources. A few days ago, i wasn't ready to be disappointed again, but now, I'm simply going to sit back and observe. If it happens [about ****ing time], if not, then oh well.

Only thing I'm not liking is Floyd isn't saying exactly what arum is asking for in negotiations that's creating the hold up. He keeps saying arum is the problem, but what exactly is arum asking for that is causing the negotiations to be stagnant.

          does this settle it then?
I wrote this in another thread but just wanted to re-iterate....

It's obvious what's happened here, there were negotiations taking place between Floyd's camp and Pacquiao's camp. While the threat of Cotto-Canelo happening on May 2nd still existed, Floyd had no other opponent other than Manny that could take precedence over that fight and date.

It was obvious he was buying time to see if he could persuade Cotto into a rematch but needed Manny there just in case. Cotto ticks all the Mayweather boxes when it comes to picking opponents:

Relatively safe bet Floyd wins? Yes (beat him before, more of the same expected)
          Belts for bragging rights? Yes
Hispanic fighter required for May 2nd? Yes
Opponent will take much less money? Yes
          Intangibles? None

Come on guys it's blatantly obvious, before Cotto/Canelo got canned we had the highest hopes for the May/Pac fight, a week after and we're here depressed waiting on the official announcement of Mayweather Cotto 2.....

with different voices coming from different sources it's hard to say if the fight will happen, but for whatever reason it does not happen I'm calling and you can expect the following..

            Pac-Khan
            Pac-Maidana
            Pac-Garcia

            and on May's side

            May-Khan
            May-Cotto II

As far as I'm concerned Floyd Mayweather has fought his last charade. He is no longer an active participant. Boxing will be a far bnetter place without him

Floyd Mayweather Jr.: No Manny Pacquiao Fight Deal Until Bob Arum Gets Out Of The Way

Appearing on the online hip hop interview program, The Whoolywood Shuffle — hosted by DJ Whoo Kid — Mayweather broke his silence regarding the Pacquiao fight talks, claiming that he “absolutely” wanted to make the fight with Pacquiao, but there’s no deal on the table yet, and may not be as long as Arum’s company is involved.

“I’ve been saying this for a long time, Pacquiao has no say because he fights for Top Rank Promotions. He’s not in a position to call the shots right now. He’s not the A-side. I have Mayweather Promotions, it’s my company,” said Mayweather, whose 47-0 record could face its greatest threat in Pacquiao.

“He has a boss, it’s called Top Rank Promotions, not Pacquiao Promotions,” Mayweather continued. “We’re trying but its been extremely difficult. I don’t want to point the finger at Pacquiao, it’s not him, it’s his promoter.”

In Los Angeles, Mayweather strength coach Alex Ariza — who formerly worked for Pacquiao — reiterated Mayweather’s position.

“It’s not going to happen. We’re fighting May 2nd but it’s not going to be Manny Pacquiao,” Ariza said. “Hopefully eventually Bob Arum will blow away in the wind or whatever. As soon as we get rid of him, we can get it on.”

But with Arum firmly entrenched as Pacquiao’s promoter, that situation appears unlikely to change, and Pacquiao said this week that he would “move on” if Mayweather did not sign a contract to fight him by the end of January, with top British contender Amir Khan mentioned as a likely opponent if the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight falls apart.
