Let's not bull**** around. If Manny and Rigo were the same size fighting at the same weight division. Rigo would totally outclass Manny inside the ring.Comment

I would love for him to keep fighting the best around the quality of opposition for a guy with 13 pro fights is insane. He has been down but mostly ****** stuff like when donaire caught him sleeping pulling away from the clinch that's just amateurish mentality that catches up with him once in a while but at least he proved he ain't chinny since he gets up and winds the round after getting planted on his butt. But my initial answer to this thread was based on the current state of the skills of the rest of the p4p guys out there if it would have been against some of those guys in their prime that's a different story Rigo is past his prime as well but it hasn't begun to show much yet.Last edited by DannYankee; 12-22-2013, 05:31 PM.Comment

My OP, short for opening post, is asking who the hell on the pfp list higher than Rigo would beat him if they were the same size. That's some delusional crap you just pulled.Comment

so? just because someone is a counter-puncher they beat pacquiao?
barrera was a pretty good counter-puncher, cotto can counter-punch, bradley can counter-punch
pacquiao hurts everyone he faces, he will land on rigo and rigo has nowhere the chin of marquez, and for all we know rigo is really not down for a tough fight where his nose gets broken or he sustains an orbital fracture grinded up insides that has him feeling like he's about to die, we dont know if he has the heart to go through a war
to think rigo makes it easy with his chin, just wishful thinking, pacquiao is a speed demon, punches very hard, and likes to punch, he's tough as hell also, he's not gonna fold like agbeko
im not saying pacquiao can win for sure, but im positive rigo is hurt atleast, after that he might get stopped, pacquiao may have scored enough kd's to win, or rigo will have ran enough to win a very close decision(and run he will have to to beat pacquiao)
Defensively and in terms of pure technical skills, those guys weren't on Rigo's level. Movements and timing reduces Manny's punching output and Rigo would force him to think and fight at a slower pace(Marquez-Pacquiao III)(Pacquiao-Bradley). Stylistically, Rigo is a bad style match up for Manny. He has a better footwork than Manny, and he neutralize Manny's best weapons. All the flurries that Manny throws only works against stationary punching bags like Rios, Clottey, Margarito, or a drained Oscar. Too bad, we'll never get a chance to see a fight like this. If Rigo were a WW, he'd be Floyd's and Manny's Kryptonite.Comment

No that, Hero Bando is a straight up ****ing lie. No where did I say anyone who beat anyone replaces their ranking. That's a lie and closer to your reasoning for trying to fit Pacman into the top 5 pfp because the consensus opinion is he beat Bradley.

Stll not sure how beating (dominating or else) an undefeated p4per is dismal, you never explained? And forgot to tell me where you have Bradley p4p.Comment

How do you know Rigo isn't tough as nails? Rigo has all the tools to outpoint Manny without taking the amount of punishments that Marquez has taken against Manny. I'd say the only thing that Marquez does better than Rigo is throwing combination punches, but you can say that Marquez is arguably better at setting up his combos than Manny too.Comment

So why are you reminding me Donaire was ranked higher than Bradley p4p (barely)? As if that bestows Rigo the same place (or better, as you're arguing) p4p. That, plus the "eye test".

I'm definitely not too quick to say Rigondeaux would beat Pacquaio.
Sure, he has tools that would post issues but I've not seen nearly enough to say he dominates or beats him.
Prime Pacquaio I'm talking about.Comment
