Donaire dropped Rigo while they were clinching and Rigo was standing straight up. Donaire did nothing but throw the punch. IMO, it was onviously a KD, but it was a cheap KD. Donaire landed other flush shot while Rigo had proper footing and didn't budge.Rigo just hides behind his defense which makes him unreachable (and boring as hell), fighters who get inside his safe zone will destroy him. Like it happened when Donaire caught him inside and another fighter who as soon as he touched Rigo he went down.
In order for Rigo to be good and effective, he needs to be in control. He create a safe zone where he operates from and keeps you at distance. He can protect that zone well. Invade the zone though and Rigo becomes vulnerable.Comment

You come across as a twat. You make a thread and then furiously defend your view point while happily discarding everyone else. The fact you compare Doniare to Pacquaio signifies your incompetence.Pacman is a speed demon? Rigo must not be then. Pacman has good footwork, Rigo must not have then.
Pacman hurts everyone he faces. Yet he hasn't recorded a ko in how long??
Rigo has enough power to make Donaire afraid to fight and make a fighter who is used to throwing close to 100 a round manage 30.
Pacquaio in my opinion would not attempt to 'solve' Rigo, he would overwhelm him with angles, speed and a barrage of punches. Rigo is not Marquez or even close. Rigo is a great boxer, so he may make it difficult, but at 122 or around that weight Pacquaio was a relentless machine, Rigo would not be able to keep him honest for long.
Pacquaio has beaten plenty of great boxers and counter punchers over the years, can we please stop acting Marquez = every counter puncher.Last edited by T18Z; 12-21-2013, 01:15 PM.Comment

Marquez timed Pacquiao by taking 3 flush punches and then returning one of his own.
Pacquiao will flatten Rigo's paper chin.Comment
