Ha, I was expecting that type of response. Do you only rate fighters with a big name? Watch a few of the guy's fights and you'll see what he's made of.

          Nothing to do with "name".

I don't rate a fighter as a top level fighter until I see him against other top fighters.

Thus far, I and no one else for that matter, knows anything about how good Chavez is because he's never even fought a ranked fighter.

The only ranked fighter he's fought is Thurman and he was stopped.

            You guess?

I don't see how he can labelled a "beast" or a "monstrous puncher" etc etc when the guy has literally never beaten anyone. As in, literally.

Not even saying that he isn't or couldn't be just the fact that no one knows at this point.

You can only beat what they put in front of you mate. The only thing you can judge him based on talent. From what I've seen of him (not much admittedly), he's a better fighter than Alvarado.

Exactly and so far what's been infront of him is unranked nobodies.

So how can you judge him? How can you say he's better Alvarado when Alvarado has actually beaten multiple ranked fighters?

You can't say that at this point. We know absolutely nothing of Chavez other than he can beat bums.

Chavez hasn't fought anyone. The only time he's fought someone who's ranked he's lost.

I just think the eye test can only take you so far.

It's not difficult to look impressive against the calibur of fighters Chavez has fought.

I'm not even saying that Chavez isn't good what I'm saying is you can't brand him as something when he's done nothing (at all) of note.

Thurman is young, and can always get better, but as of now..Thurman does not show head movement, his jab ours not all that either..His movement off the backfoot was not impressive either..I also don't see Thurman using to many angles either..Not saying he can never have these things, just that as of yet..I have not seen um
