On December 21st in Moscow, former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. (56-8, 40KOs), 44-years-old, will take on 36-year-old Frenchman Zine Eddine Benmakhlouf (17-3-1, 8KOs). Jones, fighting in the cruiserweight division, says he doesn't have any plans to retire in the near future. Jones will return for the first time since the controversial June 2012 victory over Pawel Glazewski in Poland.

Roy Is An Embarrassment; Can't Take A Punch, Can't Beat Anyone Credible, In Denial

Just like so many fighters, always think they still have it, except the jaw is fragile, the hand speed isn't what it was, they are older, so they stay flat footed more, fighting oversees for tax breaks, and "they" still think you're credible because they never saw you live in your prime. The US wouldn't give Roy the time of day, so you go to Russia, or you go to Australia and get knocked out in the first round. Go away RJJ. You're no Bernard Hopkins pushing back the test of time.

Sadly as I read this piece and responded, Jones is being interviewed on the edition of On The Ropes Radio that I'm listening to. I can barely understand a word of what he's saying.
