It's not about Arum being an a**hole. It's about certain fighters realizing their potential worth and cutting the middleman out. It's business. Oscar De La Hoya did it. And so did Floyd Mayweather. And as soon as both did it, the war of words began. Not surprising since both situations ended up in court.

I suggest you go research how I feel about Floyd/Khan.
You know the outcome? People said the exact same thing about Broner/Maidana, and Maidana beat that ass silly. You don't have a clue what could happen in the matchup.

The fight isn't happening unless A LOT of *********s are made on both sides. There are a lot of people at odds and that makes it very difficult. You would think for the sake of money that they would come together but there is always one side that feels like they are being dictated to. Now that the chips are heavily skewed in one person's favor...forget it. I think fight fans just need to let it go.

Floyd 2 seconds later "Ellerbe, Haymon, and I decide what to do"

Well Factually, speaking for myself, I picked Maidana to beat Broner.

But I didn't say I knew Floyd beats Pacman handily. I said "we" knew, as in most people with any sense knows that Floyd beats Pacman handily.

People said the exact same thing about Maidana/Broner. Most people "with any sense" voted Broner to win the fight by UD or even late KO. We all know how that played out.

No, they didn't. And even if they did, you cannot compare Broner/Maidana, to Floyd/Pacman. But if you think you've found a way, I'd sure like to hear it.

A couple years ago - I believe it was quoted on this site actually. I plan to do some digging on this.

And I suspect the reason is because it was Al who assisted Floyd in using his out clause and leaving Bob.

It's all jacked up. How many people here know that Stephen Espinoza (head of Showtime Sports) was also Oscar De La Hoya's lawyer when he took Arum to court to get out of his contract? Anyone? Bueller?

Let the child-like minions argue over "ducking" and other silly ****. It's a lot deeper than that.

Most people didn't give Maidana a chance. Look it up - all Broner by UD or late KO. Fact is, you can not say that this fight shouldn't happen because we already know the outcome. You honestly have no clue what could happen in the fight with the right game plan and execution.
