I thought Rios was going to make an interesting 24/7 and an exciting fight. Boy was I wrong. This guy has nothing interesting to say, just drops f bombs in every other sentence, and just took a one-sided azz whooping on fight night. Now to top it off, he gets caught with a banned substance and tries to blame VADA? I hope we never see this C-grade boxer in a big fight again.

Brandon Rios is one extremely unlikeable individual. Talks like he's 15 yrs old. Grow up. Show some class.

Brandon you took diuretics and you know it.

Freddie said they are few days away from the fight and Rios is still wearing sweating clothes.

It's the way it works tho, although I genuinely did have a substance misuse problem when I was (a lot) younger, subsequent testing turned up false positives almost on 10% of tests - I knew I'd not taken anything, and on a couple of those occasions was able to turn up a likely reason for the positive - but yeah, as you say proving your innocence is next to impossible.

I obviously can't say for sure what the situation was with Rios, but can say that although I believe testing needs to be undertaken in the sport and abhor those who cheat, a healthy degree of scepticism is necessary in these situations (towards both athletes and testers).
That is why their should be some skepticism, especially if the sample was not taken appropriately or properly.

I don't care about Rios, I am just mentioning my experience with testing. To those who have never gone through it, they wouldn't know any better, and will probably believe the results as if they were gospel.

But I know I didn't do *******, and yet it came back positive. And hair samples are supposedly very accurate and can go back a lot further than urine or even blood samples. But their you have it; never did coke but yet positive on a test.

So you think that Rios tested positive because VADA dislikes Ariza? Really?

Robert Garcia's gym is beginning to get a terrible reputation.
His brother Micky misses weight for a fight,
Rios has a history of missing weight and tested dirty with VADA,
Donaire was not training with Garcia for his Rigo fight, etc.

Is there any wonder people are trying to discredit Maidana's victory now?

Robert Garcia needs to clean his gym up.

Interesting Rios wants to address the protocol of which the sample was taken as opposed to if he really cheated or not.

If he was so worried about how they collected the sample then he should have refused to piss in the cup at the time (shows how dumb he really is). Since he all of a sudden is such an expert of the process

Nevermind VADA Rios, just say if you took the substance or not and move on.

Why do people keep saying he took a diuretic!! He tested positive for DMAA aka 1,3-dimethylamylamine...This used to be in pre-workout powders like jack3d here in the U.S. and now is banned in the U.S and some other countries.. They probably screwed up and got a pre-workout powder in China or something.

I read the article twice and have no idea what Rios is crying about.
