In fact there's a global drawback in the sport... Due to various causes: less money (less sponsors), the danger of eliminating boxing from the Olympics, and so on...
It is true that, in the near past, the U.S. pro-boxing environment had to face a significant "alien" competition -- with the Klitschko brothers, Pacquiao some South Americans (such as Martinez), Cubans (i.e. Rigondeaux, Lara, etc), and some Western Europeans or Russians... But this "alien" competition doesn't provide too many "prospects" to date (see Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Golovkin, Kovalev, etc)...
Therefore, I'd think about a business/market crisis within the U.S. environment, rather than a talents' crisis...Comment

I wouldn't call Tim Bradley a level above Thurman.Comment

Saying someone is a level above someone else has nothing, at least that's not what I read from it, to do with resume.
Because in that department, of course Bradley ices Thurman. Bradley is a seasoned champion who's 30 or 31 and Thurman is an up-and-comer looking to kick the door down.
If we're talking about those two matching up against each other in the near future, which is what I got from it, I wouldn't see Bradley as a level above Thurman. Especially when I look at how Bradley dealt with Provodnikov who I see as very inferior to Thurman.Comment

i dont think they are the 3 best fighters in the world, i think wlad is better p4p than all 3 and is statistically more dominat than all 3. How is Rigo better than wlad???
Ward has not fought over a year and his last two oppents have been non fights, where as wlad has fought poventkin, thompson, haye, and some mandatories and has pulev soon.
So no way is ward better tha wlad...Comment
